Review: I gave a 30 days notice to the complex manager on may 20th. I completely had all my belongings out of the apt and the apt cleaned with carpet done., after which I turned in the keys to the apt 28th of may and signed on the paper next to my name and [redacted] said not to date it she would do it, that a check would be mailed within the first of the month. It is now June 21st and I have yet to hear from [redacted] or seen a check for the apt security deposit being given back. She is aware of the new address.Desired Settlement: I would like my security deposit back and move on, I paid $497.00 for deposit for which I have the receipts and the date that I moved in and I also have all my rent receipts. I was asked to give 30 days notice and I gave it and moved well within my 30 days and lefted the apt in good shape with it cleaned and carpets shampooed.

I am writing in response to the complaint made against Springhill. The complainant gave her 30- day notice that she was moving on May 20, 2013 the notice move date was for June 19, 2013. On June 6, 2013 she brought in the keys and we did her walk through and found no damages. At this time the assistant manager explained to her that she was still legally responsible until June 19, 2013. The Assistant Manager also explained that she would be charged 45.00 late fee on the pro rent rated amount if she did not pay it at that time. She was also advised that that she would receive her remaining deposit in 30 to 45 days in accordance with Virginia Landlord Tenant Rules. I call the complainant and spoke to both her and her husband advising them that the 30 to 45 days had not expired and we went over the charges again at that time her husband informed me that they would drop this complaint.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[redacted] has bold faced lied to you in reference to the so called walk through which never happen, [redacted] knows and terri knows fully well that keys were handed in on May 28th and cindy knows fully well that she did not tell me anything in [redacted] reply that she did. I will be filing court papers and I will take this to court I have witnesses that know and were THERE when keys were turned in and heard [redacted] say not to sign the date she would fill it in. There was no walk through. I have already hired a lawyer to take this case to court. I will not be lied about and I will in turn be filling out papers and turning in evidence of situations that is going on right now with Springhill Apts and [redacted] turning a blind eye to it. I have notirized papers to back up the keys and when they were turned in and I also have several other important papers that the lawyer has and will be seeing them in court. Regards,[redacted]

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[redacted], since you do not understand what I am seeking you have chosen to lie to the Revdex.com and claim that you did a walk through on June 6th that you know is not true..You know that I turned the keys in on May 28th..You heard [redacted] tell me not to sign the date that she would fill it in..So since you and [redacted] are not telling the truth and I going to make sure that the truth gets told..Being that the lease was up May 29th. I signed papers to [redacted] on May 23rd and moved into the property on May 24th. I was no longer on your property as of May 28th, you had the keys in your possession. I did not sign another years lease with you. Also if you reread the lease you can not take the "last month" rent (according to you trying to get 380.00 extra money in your pocket by asking for 19 days of rent in June), out of the security deposit. There is no need for you to seek more money when you had your keys in your hands may 28th and you know fully well that I did not have the apt and was not there..There was no need for you to lie and say you did a walk through that you know you didn't do. You never went up to apt [redacted] and did a walk through with me. For you to lie and for you to be a complex apartment manager is a disgrace to you and your employer. I have not been of Springhill Village Apartment complex property since the day I turned the keys in.. I am willing to go and get a lawyer and demand a lie detector test to clear this up. For [redacted] to claim that I paid 411.00 in deposit and not the correct amount of 500.00 is also wrong, it is a shame I had to prove that I still have the deposit reciepts because you and [redacted] are lying to make things in your way. Also for you and or [redacted] to go to apt[redacted] and ask [redacted] for [redacted]'s phone number and call me asking me to drop this complaint is poor judgement on your part. Number one the lease was not in [redacted] name it was mine. Number two you had my number you didn't need [redacted]'s. Finally [redacted] I am fully prepare to take to court or your boss and disclose some of the things that are going on at Springhill that you have chosen not to take care of and turned a blind eye to., you know as well as I do there is alot of illegal happenings and you have chosen not to tend to them..I do have record of it and I am willing to turn it over to the proper people for it to be taken care of. For me to pay you every single month for almost 4 years on time and never late and hardly ever did call you to fix anything in the apartment and took care of my apartment., this is absolutely rediculous way to treat someone., just because you were angry that I moved out and according to what my current landlord said you told her I was one of your best tenant and you were upset to lose me. But there comes a time when a person can only take but so much., my complaints were small when I did turn them in and yet I took alot of crap from you and [redacted] was stuff that was told to you by someone eles and instead of allowing me my side you said shut up this is how it goes and I don't want to hear anything eles about it., for you to look at us and say I will write you up and kick you out but since you have children I just say don't be brought back here in my office. For [redacted] to even be handling anything with my name on it is not right because she has prior aknowledgements with me being that her parents are my god parents. [redacted] was put in a hard place dealing with all of this and it makes for hard feelings. [redacted] you bold faced called me and [redacted] both liers to our faces several times and refuse to allow our side. So we said you know what we are not renewing another year in this place it is time to to move on. But [redacted] I will not be lied about and I will stand for the truth. Regards,[redacted]
