Springs Locksmith

We called Springs Locksmith to unlock our car. They quoted $35 and up to unlock our car. When the person arrived to unlock our car he didn't talk to us, just unlocked the vehicle and then told us the Fee was $120 !!!!!!!!!!!!

Bate and switch pure and simple. He parked behind our vehicle and wouldn't let us leave until we paid.

DISHONEST!

I was told over the phone the rates start at $19, plus $15.00 depending on the drive. I told her where I was, and she said he would be there in 15-30 minutes. It took him exactly 28 minutes to arrive, and charged $120.00. It took him less than a minute to open the door. When I called back, she then stated all of the locksmiths are independent contractors and charge whatever they want.

I called 12pm on a tuesday, I have a 2007 Jeep Grande Cherokee, kinda beat up but its what I can afford. James came out took 30seconds to pop my door back enough to unlock. Then tells me its $150 for his service. On his website he advertises $35 minimum so im thinking maybe $75 at most. He talks about working on BMW, LEXUS, LAMBORGHINI which is great but my 11 year old jeep is not electric like any of those nor are they as expensive. My Fiancee had me call 5 other companies after the fact to see what they would of charged and the highest price was $80 and that was him talking about if the weather would of been bad. James tells me to file through insurance, however my insurance wont pay over $100 due to a cap because normally it shouldnt cost over this. This man takes advantage of people in need and not to mention I'm an Army Veteran of 13years, I have a purple heart for being wounded and saving 3 of my soliders lives after our HumVee drove over an IED. I have contacted the FTC as well, this man will not get away with taking advantage of people that dont have the knowledge and especially the money to pay these atrocious fees. I was in a hurry to pick up my Fiancees son for a doctor's appt and didnt have time to argue with the man.
