Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:When I was selecting a company to replace my heating and cooling system in one of the things I considered was having to have my chimney lined for my water heaterWith a high efficiency system no longer using the chimney that left the water heater needing to be properly ventedWarren Heating and Cooling would line my chimney for $while other companies were around $I selected them because they provided a good unit at a fair price and I would get the liner taken care ofFast forward to last November we had a small chimney fire unrelated to anything regarding this issueWhen I had my chimney inspected I was told that my water heater liner was done incorrectly and it needed to be replacedIt was apparently too short for the chimney and Warren Heating and Cooling used improper materials to make it long enoughThe metal they used was all rusted and in time could have shifted and blocked the chimney resulting in a carbon monoxide problemThis was something that would have never been discovered if I didn't have someone go on my roof and inspect my chimneyThe inspector took pictures that I might still be able to get my hands on if you need themClearly a corner was cut and I chalked it up to you get what you pay forAnd, by the way, it cost me $to repair. In the mean time, we have had our air conditioner serviced every year as we are supposed toThere were a couple of times where the a/c did not work after being servicedWarren immediately came out to fix itIt was that the unit needed to be chargedI disagree that the loss of freon was due to the technicians removing their gaugesIf that is the case, Warren is losing a lot of money every year by having to replace freon that their techs loseThey stated that they only had to put in pound a couple of timesHow do I even know if that is correct and was what the system needed or it was just enough to get by Every person I have spoken to in the cooling industry says you should never have to put in anythingThere had to have been a leakAs a matter of fact one of Warren's techs did a basic leak search a few years agoWhy? The tech must have suspected there was something wrongAs it turned out the leak, which Warren did detect in their "free" leak search, was in the unit in the basement, not outsideIt was in the coilI understand that the manufacturer has a warranty period of yearsI contend that Warren should have suspected there was leak when their tech did the basic search a few years ago while the unit was still under warranty. Warren quoted me a price of $I got another price from a very reputable company that I had used prior to Warren and it was $I went with the other company because I did not feel comfortable after finding out about the chimney, and seeing that the price was so differentThat is what got me into trouble the first timeWhen the other company came to repair the unit I find out that there was a wire that was not hooked up properly ( no danger but not correct), the taping of the duct work around the unit in the basement was not done well and cool air was escaping into the basement instead of going upstairs where it was needed and the electrical cord going to the a/c unit from the house should have been changed rather than using the original year old wire. I don't really appreciate the flippant response from MsB that "you can't keep 100% of the people happy 100% of the time"I can tell you if every one discovered the things I discovered about the corner cutting they wouldn't keep anybody happy ever.
Regards,

Warren Heating & Cooling adjusted the charge times and a total of lbs over the course of yearsThis could have been due to the techs taking their gauges off during the maintenance over the yearsIf the leak did occur as stated, Freon would have to be added every yearWarren also
scheduled a "No Charge" leak search (not stated in complain)Warren does not manufacture equipment so the warranty goes by the manufacturer, in this case ***, which provides year warranty on the stated system which was installed in The complaint should be with *** not WarrenWe have done everything possible to resolve this issue including as not stated, "free leak search." This is not how we do business and anyone who has used us will tell youGo to ***, ***, *** *** or our website and read our reviews for yourselfYou cant keep 100% of the people happy !00% of the time Crystal BWarren Heating & Cooling, LLC

I am rejecting this response because:Attached please find pictures of the chimney liner installed for my water heater. Clearly there are materials used that would not have passed inspection, IF INSPECTORS WENT ON THE ROOF, but since they don't, Warren Heating was able to get away with this. All of the other things contained in this complaint are further evidence of their cutting corners and lack of attention to details. If there had never been an issue with adding freon prior to my warranty expiring I would not have even thought twice about it. But, since there were times when coolant needed to be added, it should have been a red flag to them that something was wrong.  I have tried to make the point that they just kicked the can down the road and hoped the band-aid they kept using would hold. This back and forth with them refusing to acknowledge that there were mistakes made, is getting old. One of their own employees told me that they would not have Warren come to fix my unit based on all of the things that have happened. And, by the way, I live in [redacted] Township not [redacted], so once again, if you were paying attention to what you were doing, you would know that. But what difference does it make, it will just get swept under the carpet like everything else.
Regards,
