May 1, 2017Dear Representative of Revdex.com,This letter is in regards to the complaint filed by *** *** *** on April 24, regarding Springside Manor Apartments. *** *** is not a leaseholder at the apartment community at this time, however, I would be happy to address his
concerns. Our residential lease agreement requires two full calendar months' notice. As a courtesy to our residents, we send out our renewal letters days before their lease expires. That letter explains their renewal options and again reminds them that they must give us written notice two full calendar months in advance. At that point, they have days to give that notice. We send these letters two ways. First, we tape a letter to their front door. Second, we mail a letter to them as well. We send that letter out with a certificate of mailing. We do have that certificate of mailing from February 15, for this resident showing that we did mail that letter. We follow this policy across the board. At no time was the resident or her fiancé told that they could leave without giving notice. Regarding *** ***' fiancée, the manager called her numerous times regarding the ending of her lease since they have not heard from her. The manager spoke to her and explained the policy. She then came into the office and had some questions about vacating. The manager and the assistant manager again told her that she would be responsible for the months of May and June since her two full calendar months' notice to vacate had not been received. At this point, the resident became very upset. The manager did ask her to leave the office after the resident followed her into her office and proceeded to scream into the telephone that the manager had answered and how unprofessional and rude the office wasPrior to answering the telephone, the manager had told the resident that she was ending the conversation because the resident was becoming more upset and the manager had explained the policy numerous times. The assistant manager did come into the office and escorted her out of the office at that point. Our residential lease agreement states our policy very clearly and we follow these same policies for each and every resident. For your records, we have enclosed a copy of that renewal letter that was sent out February 15th along with the certificate of mailing. In addition, I have enclosed a copy of their residential lease agreement. Please reference page 5, section and 21. Thank you Jonathan C. Chief Financial Officer

I am rejecting this response because: In spite of their own requirements, [redacted] was NOT given a 75 day notice. There was never anything sent through the mail, nothing taped to the door, or a courtesy call. These were all of the action steps the apartment complex claimed to take to be of service to residents. This information was given to me by the office manager Rita S[redacted] herself. Furthermore, there was never any apology or anything to make matters right. Unfortunately, my fiancee is being forced to pay a higher rate for an additional to months.
