To Whom it may Concern, We have carefully reviewed [redacted]’s file and our last point of contact with her was via telephone stating that she has a very busy schedule and would be calling us back to reschedule the walk through and customer service issues. Update: On July 23,2015...

[redacted] and myself CSR [redacted] made contact via telephone and set a date for the technician to come out to her property on July 30, 2015 to repair any issues with her sprinkler system and do a final walk through. I will be following up with [redacted] On July 29, 2015 to remind her of the appointment and then will personally follow up with on July 30, 2015 after the customer service issues have been fixed to her discretion. I assured her that her business is extremely important to us and then we went through the bill and the pricing and at the end of the conversation in my personal opinion [redacted] seemed relieved and felt much more confident with the billing and the appointment. I will do everything in my power to go above and beyond to make sure Ms. [redacted] has nothing less than an excellent experience with Sprinkler Repair Guy. I also told her if she needs anything else to feel free to give me a call back personally. If there is anything else I can do please let us know. Thank you. Sincerely,[redacted]SRG Customer Quality Specialist

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that although the response addresses some of the issues, it does not entirely resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I accept the solutions provided by Mr. [redacted], but I would like to add the following issues that we discussed and agreed on during the site visit.

-Provide low pressure irrigation tubing at the top of the hill immediately behind the house. There are currently shrubs planted there and although the sprinkler lines have been installed, the water does not reach each shrub.
-Half way down (again immediately behind the house), there is a pathway with a row of small plants (most of them never grew due to lack of water).  The installed system waters the ivy plants but does not reach the sides where the small plants are planted.  Provide a small spray or tubing irrigation to address the plants.

Additionally, the item below was discussed with Mr. [redacted], but we did not reach a conclusion during our conversation at the site:

-During the site visit with Mr. [redacted], I pointed out that one sprinkler line stubbing out of one of the valves was not replaced with new as the other ones were.  I would like that branch of the sprinkler line to be replaced with new as agreed during my first walk through with S.R. G.

Regards,
[redacted]

To Whom It May Concern,

Please be advised that on June 16,2014 , I met with Ms. [redacted] at the property in question to evaluate her concerns regarding the irrigation system installed by Sprinkler Repair Guy a short time ago.

The following...

is my professional and personal recommendation with the benefit of 30 plus years experience as a licensed contractor in the landscape industry. Ms. [redacted] and I agreed that I would provide my thoughts and opinion on what may need to be done in order to alleviate her concerns, she will review the same and respond with her thoughts on the subject . Once a mutually agreed solution has been reached by and between Ms. [redacted] and S.R.G. , arrangements will be made ASAP to perform the services.

1. The drip irrigation along the city street / curbside needs to be adjusted so as to provide a more plant and shrub specific intended target.

2. Traveling down the path in the rear yard, the first slope section on the left needs to have the sprinkler heads elevated or extended slightly to provide better coverage. A shrub and plant mini-sprayer with small should be installed to service some of the planting.

3. On the opposite side of the walkway, at what might be referred to as the "top of the slope" are a number of locations where there either currently exist, or Ms. [redacted] has plans to install future shrubs and
once again a mini-sprayer line should be available for use "as needed"

4. At what seems to be the furthest or lowest top of a slope down below some 30 to 40 foot lower than the house elevation two or possibly three sprinkler heads need to be added to the existing zone of     heads placed by S.R.G.

General synopsis of my evaluation is that there appears to have been a bit of misunderstanding by S.R.G. at the time of installation as to the ultimate intended use and requirements of the customer, Ms. [redacted].
The system installed provides overall sprinkler spray coverage of the given areas. It does not however provide "site specific" or "target areas" of individual plants and shrubs. This can be achieved by use of the system described above....................a low pressure miniature size irrigation tubing which can be relocated as needed and small adjustable heads easily inserted for either existing plants or those which will be added in the future.

NOTE : Whenever planting individual shrubs and plants of an embankment or slope, special attention and consideration must be considered and implemented at the time of installation to create a reservoir
at the base of each plant which will retain irrigation water and keep it from simply running down the slope, leaving the plant to die from lack of proper water supply and often causing unnecessary
and undesirable slope erosion. The existing plants and shrubs recently installed " by others " at Ms. [redacted] residence did not receive such consideration of implementation at the time they were placed.

Review: The Sprinkler Repair Guy company visited my property and we came into an agreement to replace the entire existing sprinkler system in my yard for $3000. I walked the area with the person in charge and described exactly where I was planning to plant flowers and where I would be planting bushes, etc... After the first day on the job, when I returned home, I noticed that some existing sprinkler lines were used (trenches were not yet backfield) and correct sprinkler heads were not installed per our agreement. I emailed the project manager and told him not to fill the trenches and meet with me to go over the sprinkler design in the morning before backfill. He never showed up and when I visited my house during lunch time, the trenches were already filled. The project took approximately 4 days and the PM finally contacted me at the end to collect his final payment. He agreed to replace the old sprinkler lines that were visible above ground. After they left the project, I saw few more old ones that were used and contacted him but he never responded back. I also noticed that the sprinkler heads were far apart and there were areas not covered. My house is on a hill side, they never backfilled and compacted the areas at the bottom of the berms where they digged out to install the sprinklers and since then, the soil is not stable and continues to fall down. Additionally the sprinkler heads don't rise high enough so the water hits the bottom of the berm and bounces back creating runoff. I have spent over $2500 worth of flowers and many of them have dried due to inadequate sprinkler heads and distance. I have contacted the office and corresponded with the person in charge who promised he was going to visit my property and take action but after many emails and promises, he never came and stopped corresponding. Meanwhile, I have been manually watering my garden as much as I possibly can, and despite of it, my flowers have mostly died and my property slopes are not disturbed and unstable.Desired Settlement: I would like to get a refund for my money so I can get someone to replace the system and provide the correct spacing, sprinkler heads, and repair the hill side slope that was damaged as a result of their work. I have lost a lot of money and efforts made to plant the flowers and plants and at the least, would like to receive the refund for the horrible sprinkler job they did.

To Whom It May Concern,

Review: I received a referral to Sprinkler Repair Guys from HomeAdvisor. Sergio Mendez came to evaluate a leak in my sprinkler system. He believed the problem was in one (1) of six (6) anti-sphion valves and gave me an initial estimat of $208.00 on 09/18/14. His technician came later that afternoon to make the repair. After looking at the sprinkler manifold the tech stated that he couldn't replace just the single defective valve because the original instillation used copper pipes from the main water line. This made no sense but I agreed to replace the whole manifold. They were unable to do the work on 09/18 but agreed to return on 09/19. I requested a new estimate for four (4) valves as only four (4) were connected to the sprinkler system. The other two (2) were spares in case I needed to expand the system. The second quote I received was for $571.00. The technician returned on 09/19, shut off the water to the property and ripped out my old valve system. He then proceeded to tell me that he couldn't just replace four (4) valves but needed to repalce all six (6). With water turned off I had no choice but to let him continue. I was finally charged $722.00.

This is a classic bait and switch operation. The tech didn't know how to reduce the system from six (6) valves to four (4) but wouldn't admit it. In addition, since he didn't know how to use the older style automatic controller in my garage and he attempted to leave without testing to see if the sprinkler system even worked and tried to convince me that I needed a new controller.Desired Settlement: I was conned into accepting six (6) valves when I only needed and wanted four (4). I believe they should refund the additional charges of $141.00. Especially since a subsequent trip to home depot allowed me to find exactlythe same type of valve that I had in my system when Sprinkler Repair Guy told me that type was nolonger available, necessitating the replace ment of the whole valve system.

Review: I hired Sprinkler Repair Guy to put up some Christmas lights. We agreed on $500 for the job. The two men arrived on time at 8:00 in the morning. I gave them the new rolls of lights and opened my garage and showed them the outlet. I left for a carpool and got a message that they hadn't brought a ladder and would return in two hours to put up the lights. They returned and worked on the lights. They didn't speak English well and mis-understood when I said to follow the roof line behind the chimney and instead spent time decorating my chimney with lights. They left again for a few hours around lunch time and came back around 3:00. When they left for the day, the roof line was not finished. I got a call from [redacted] to make sure I was ok with additional charges since the job was so long. I told him the last four years, the entire job had been completed for $40 an hour in 12 man hours and we were already at 16 man hours and less than half the job was done. It would end up costing me double the original cost. He agreed to cancel the job and let me find someone else and we agreed on $300 for the day. He charged my credit card and I started calling around to find another company. When the other company came to finish the job, they discovered that large gaps in the lights on the house didn't light up! They had to take them all down and put up ones that actually lit up. I not only had to pay for the entire job again but for someone to undo the job done by Sprinkler Repair Guy! I asked [redacted] to give me a refund and he said it was Walgreens' fault the lights were broken not his and he wouldn't refund the money. I explained that as part of Christmas light installation, he should check to make sure the lights work. He didn't agree.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the $300 returned to my Visa.

Review: Contracted with the local Sprinkler Repair Guy for patio sprinkle replacement. Work done 20 Feb 2015. Manager [redacted] refused to give me an itemized bill until "home office" stepped in. Billed me for more materials than needed, at a cost 2-3 times retail value. I paid the bill anyhow on 19 Mar 2015 ($654.50). Now still need the system adjusted. Either did not return my calls, or scheduled an appointment, then cancelled it and did not reschedule. Not getting enough water on half of the patio beds. Wasn't shown how to re-install hanging basket sprinklers.Desired Settlement: The sprinkler system is operating correctly, and I (or my agent) is shown how to re-install hanging basket sprinklers.
