Sprinter Rentals

Review: We rented a vehicle from Sprinter Rentals. The original contract indicated that we would receive 12 seats. We had a team of twelve people for a 16 day trip and would require all 12 seats in order to accommodate every paid passenger. The company delivered the vehicle more than three hours late, with only 9 seats, didn't take my calls regarding the seating issue for three days, then took another two days to get the additional row of seats to us.

As a result, we had to locate a second vehicle, pay a driver, cover the drivers housing and food, as well as fix that vehicle when it was damaged during the trip.

I tried contacting Sprinter Rentals over 10 times via phone, over 5 times via email with relatively no relief. The discounted the rental only $160 for five days of the missing seats. This didn't even come close to covering the cost of the breach of contract.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund of an additional $1000 to cover the cost of the second vehicle, the driver, hotel, food and housing for the driver, as well as gas for the additional vehicle.

Review: Recently rented 2 Sprinters from Sprinter Rentals & paid add'l money to have 2 matching vehicles. Received report on vehicles 1 business day prior to pick-up & immediately called as it was a disaster! Report showed multiple problems, definitely not up to par. Had explained upon contracting, vehicles needed to be in pristine condition, I would have high-profile people transferred in them, issues would be a security liability. Was told the report was likely old, they would send an update showing repairs (never received new report) & pictures. Assured me vehicles were Mercedes & of perfect quality/condition. Received pictures wh/were conveniently taken so big dent in one vehicle was unseen. Upon arriving at pick-up, one appeared to be in good condition, the other definitely not w/huge dent above windshield, broken radio, & other issues. Driving off the lot check engine & airbag lights came on in this same vehicle. Reported it immediately, told repeatedly check engine light wasnt a worry, after persisting we were sent to a repair shop where mechanic was appalled vehicle had been rented in it's condition. Ended up leaving that Sprinter w/mechanic as it was unsafe to drive, if by chance we were in an accident in that vehicle airbags could have potentially not deployed, faulty seat belt among other problems to include over 160,000 miles on it. Replacement vehicle was delivered a day & a half later from NJ, apparently all Sprinters are driven from NJ, we were in NC. New Sprinter was not off-black as promised to be a close match for the black one we still had, it was clearly silver. However it was in good condition & drivable but I had paid add'l money for matching vehicles. Vehicle we kept & didn't leave w/ mechanic on 1st day wouldn't start the next day. This vehicle was 24,000 miles past the due date of an oil change, that # is not a typo, 24,000 mi! We paid a lot of money for these rentals, expectation was to get high-end, safe vehicles in working condition and they provided exactly the opposite.Desired Settlement: Sprinter Rentals wasted hours of several of our employees time sitting in repair shops. We needed these employees' assistance managing other items for the upcoming event being preparing for, instead we were paying them overtime to sit for hours in repair shops. In addition, at the end of the day, I did not have 2 matching vehicles I paid additional money for. I am requesting a full refund for the inconvenience, additional stress provided, and incapablity to provide safe and working vehicles.
