Review: Square One installed a furnace in my home on December 21, 2011, since I have had nothing but problems with the furnace. They were in my home to try and repair the problem and the problem was never solved. The owner finally told me (after a different furnace company informed me) that the furnace is twice the size needed for my home and could not give me a reason as to why a product that was wrong was still installed. He told me the only solution to the problems I was having was to replace the furnace, for an additional $1850.00! I did not have faith in this company to install another furnace in my home after I found out the installation was not properly completed. I sent the owner a certified letter asking to be reimbursed for all charges paid to his company for the faulty furnace. He offered me compensation, which was not acceptable. I since had a different company install a furnace in my home because the one installed by Square One was unreliable. I am asking for a settlement of all monies paid to Square One for the furnace that never functioned properly.Desired Settlement: A refund for all charges paid to Square One Heating for a furnace that will never function properly and had to be replaced totaling $806.08

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I have attached all documents in regards to all money paid to Square One Heating and Cooling LLC for the furnace in question. Mr. [redacted] was at my home on February 5, 2014 and offered me a discount on a new furnace (see attached estimate) and told me that was the best he could do. When I received his letter (attached) dated February 25, 2014 offering to put an equivelent furnace in my home at no charge, I had already had a new furnace installed in my home. (A new furnace was installed on February 19, 2014) As you will see in my documentation, Square One has many inconsitancies in what they have offered me (mainly in sizing of the furnace). This just goes to prove that they are not a reliable company. I have also attached invoices from 2 other furnace companies stating that the furnace was running at a high temp rise which is due to oversizing, which is what I believe has caused the problem with the furnace. I am seeking payment in full of $806.08 for all charges paid to Square One Heating and Cooling, LLC for a furnace that did not work properly.

Thank you for the files you forwarded me. They were very useful in drafting my April 1st response. I have not received any additional information regarding the status of the complaint , but I would like to update you on a few developments.

On March 7, 2014 Ms. [redacted] complained on her public Facebook account about not having any heat from her new furnace that was two weeks old (see attached). She neglected to mention this in any of her past correspondence with us. I am curious if the new furnace wasn’t installed properly by her new qualified contractor, or if it had something to do with the property itself such as, electrical issues or poor air quality. If you have information regarding the company that installed the equipment and their diagnosis of the new system, I would appreciate those details.

She has also filed a Fox 6 complaint against me in an attempt to shame me into complying with her demands (see attached). She mentions the size inconstancies of furnaces I have offered. If she did her homework she would know that different manufacturers offer different sizes in different models; model sizes are not universal amongst manufacturers. Near the bottom of the complaint she states her demands including $806.08 and a new request for a partial payment toward her new furnace. This was never a request made in any of the correspondence we have had via the Revdex.com.

I want to resolve this dispute, but Ms. [redacted] continues to push us further from settlement. I have offered full disclosure throughout this process, and she is selective about the information she shares. I have offered a total of four options in an attempt to settle this, and now she wants me to pay a portion of the new furnace that is less reliable than the one we installed. It is unfortunate, but at this time I believe there is a stalemate. Ms. [redacted] chose to limit herself on available options because she had a new system installed before a resolution was established. Her choice cost her extra money, and I should not be responsible for those expenses.

I will wait to hear a response to my April 1st letter.
