Company has denied claim stating Legendary Journeys is a travel agent not a tour operator On May 24, I purchased a trip from Legendary Journeys Confirmation Number [redacted] I purchased trip insurance on 5/25/from SquareMouth with the provider being Tin LegPolicy Number [redacted] I paid the trip in full on July 19,I paid by checks for a total of $On Oct 27,Legendary Journeys cancelled my trip and ceased business operationsPer a telephone conversation on January 11,2018, Tin Leg has denied my claim stating that Legendary Journeys is a travel agent not a tour operatorLegendary Journeys has e-mailed me several times stating that they are in fact a tour operator
We purchased an airline ticket for travel plus months away.Within days - airline cancelled flight and had not optionsInsCowould not refund We purchased a ticket in March for Sept travel days - airline cancelled flight which made travel impossible Airline ticket was cancelled Square Mouth would and Insure My Trip would not give refund Said it was past the days This is a scam If we are not going - we don't need the insurance Stay away from Square Mouth and Insure My Trip Travel Insurance
We had Tin Leg travel insurance which is Squaremouth brand of insurance bought from Squaremouth for a cruise from Puerto RicoThe policy included "common carrier delay coverage " which supposedly covers you if there is a delay of hours or more of any common carrier (including cruise ships)We had a delay from the carrier of hoursTin leg refused to cover anything because they state "you must be notified of the delay en route to the carrier"They will find reasons not to pay claimsIf it's not in the fine print, they will add itI call this a scam
This company's practices are unethical to say the leastMust be challenged by the legal department for malprctice We booked a big trip to Europe between July and August 31, involving three changes of aircraft to get to the destination of Gdansk, PolandOn the day of travel a massive storm ensued in the North East region of USA and all flights from Orlando to NY, JFK where stoppedHaving spend some hours at MCO we ended up in JFK too late to catch the connecting flight to Warsaw, PolandMy wife spent hours trying to reason with the airlines but nobody was taking any responsibility as it was "act of god"! but what about the consumer? Given that I am a senior citizen arriving in NY at midnight with nowhere to stay had serious effect on my healthIf it had not been for daughter living in NY , I would have been issuing a law suit against Tinleg on the ground of my health issuesThe financial losses were huge and this is why I purchased travel insurance in the first place
