I am in receipt of your letter date 2/28/14, concerning my complaint submitted on 1/10/against S&S Select
Per your letter, you stated that the company stated "that they did not do plumbing in the bathroom and they only installed the selection panel in the bathroom."
That statement is totally false.
1.1- remove and disposed of existing two piece walk in shower, including DRAIN, shower head, shower head arm with all escutcheon, and shower value trim
1.4- Install new replacement 48" fiberglass walk in shower consisting of BASIN and three (3) piece wall surrounding panels
1.5- Install new BASIN DRAIN, shower head, shower head arm with all escutcheon and new shower valve trimCONNECT NEW DRAIN TO EXISTING PLUMBING SERVICE
The improperly installed shower had the leaks at the DRAIN as well as the one of the side panels to the basinPer the contract, S&S Select DID plumbing in the bathroom by installing a new drain
The issue is not resolvedThe customer is NOT satisfiedDue to the improper installation and then falsifying the work to Revdex.com, I hope that Revdex.com continues to pursue this issue

I spoke with the company and the stated that they did not do plumbing in the bathroom and they only installed the section panel in the bathroom

Review: I had a heat pump installed April 19, 2013 and paid 3500.00 for both units. The unit has not cooled or heated since it was installed. I have contacted the co many times and he will not correct the problem.So I had to call another contractor in and the followingproblems where found.1. unit to small for my house was suppose to be 3ton 2.5 ton installed.2. 3.5lbs extra coolant added to unit. He did not know that the unit came filled with the right amount.3. THe old unit set in my driveway for over a month with coolant inside the unit.Problems continued and 2nd tech came back out to find wires on the unit not connected to the grounds and some wires not even connected to anything. Also Ax. heat not connected.On the inside unit for the vent a thin peice of what looks like the packing for the Ac unit was used with tape wrapped around it. Which already has a hole in itAfter repeated requests of me not sleeping and not being able to breathe I still get no response from this co. I am scared that the unit is damaged and will cause some kind of elec issue in my house or fire. I have asked him to remove the unit and refund my money but I have had no response from him. If you could please look into this matter I would appreicate it. Many thanksDesired Settlement: I wish to have the unit taken out and my money refunded. I am scared to have this unit in my house because of all the faulty hookups that it may start a fire or cause other issues in my house.I just want to start over with a new unit that I feel safe with and I will not have to worry sweat or not sleepThank you

Review: On or about April 9, 2013, S&S Select (plumbers) installed a new shower in my upstairs bathroom. On September 26, 2013, the ceiling in the family room, below where the shower was installed, crashed into the room. The size of the hole was about 2' by 3'. A significant amount of water came down into the room. At first inspection, with the water still on in the house, I noticed that there was no running of water - so a water pipe was not the problem. I contacted my insurance company. I also contacted S&S Select who did arrive at my house a day or two later and examined the damage. They did not take responsibility and advised that they would contacted their insurance company.

Upon examination of the damage by the adjuster for my insurance, [redacted] with [redacted] ( [redacted]), it was determined that a drain or a return line must be the problem. [redacted] ( repair contractor) was contact. Per their contractor - [redacted]) and [redacted] of [redacted]), they determined that the drain of the new shower was not properly installed. [redacted] cut a hole directly below the shower, touched the drain and it fell into his hands. Per a written document, he stated that the drain was not installed properly and that it caused of the leak. During this same time, [redacted] was contact to remove the water and dry out the floor supports between the first and second floor.

When [redacted] returned and replaced the drain. When he completed the test, he determined there was a second leak coming from the side of the shower. He opened a hole on the dry wall near the bottom of the shower. When he turned the water on, the shower leaked from a joint near the bottom of the shower. [redacted] stated that he must remove the entire shower to get to the leak. With discussion with [redacted] and [redacted], they strongly suggested that the shower be replaced because it is not good to replace the same shower after it has been removed. Due to their recommendation, a new shower was installed.

To this day, all repairs are done. The insurance company for S&S Select has paid my insurance company for the damages. S&S Select has not paid my out of pocket expenses of $1976.00 even after several attempt to recover my cost. I haver e-mails, bills, pictures for documentationDesired Settlement: The insurance will not cover the cause of the damage - only the repair of the areas that were damaged. My insurance, with the funds from the insurance company of S & S Select, paid for the damage to the house. I still had to pay for the repair and replacement of a new shower drain and the leaking shower - both originally installed by S&S Select. I have tried twice to obtain my cost. S&S Select has not paid my out of pocket cost or even contacted me.

Cost of new drain - $330. Cost of new shower - $1531. Cost to my deductiable - Originally $500 but was reduced to $115.

Total Out of pocket cost - $1976.00
