I want to share a NEGATIVE experience about a businessMy son received what I suppose was decent therapy from this businessHowever, their billing and service policies are laughableEach visit my son received same number of units, relatively the same treatment and amount of time in each sessionSometimes instead of individual treatment, he was in with a groupAnd, instead of being treated by the therapist, he was treated by a therapist's assistantFor the same treatment from visit to visit the total charge increased exponentially, and the amount I was responsible not only doubled, but tripled within a month periodWhen I called the number on the statement, they said I needed to talk to the office we received treatment - that they had no information about the chargesWhen I spoke with the local office, they said they could only see that each time my son received units of care, that I needed to call the number on the statementWhen I called that again, they said they couldn't help me that I needed to speak to the manager of that locationWhen the manager of the location called me back, he said he couldn't explain the charges other than the most expensive one was when the therapist did an evaluation of my son's progressOther than that for information on charges, he would have the therapist call me - that was back on 5/31, and I still haven't heard anything from the therapistThe office did call me back to try and say that my insurance provider manually enters payments and what the insured's cost is, and they probably billed incorrectlyThe insurance billed based upon the codes the therapy place enteredIt's ridiculous that for the same service twice a week within a month period, although from assistants rather than therapists, and going from individualized treatment to group therapy, the charges tripledAnd, besides no one able to explain any of this, the first bill I ever received from them was dated 5/19/Treatment, twice a week, started on 2/27/- without regular billings, I had no idea the charges were increasing exponentiallyNot fair or consumer friendly business practices - seems rather unethical that they can bill like this and then get away with no one having to be able or willing to explain how they arrived at the charges
