The details explaining the financials for his visit were explained to the consumer in detail in the written correspondence that we went to him in addressing this complaint.(you may obtain a copy of that letter from the consumer for review)The consumer did receive a refund on 05/27/as communicated in our letter to himWe have closed this complaint and we are sorry if he refuses to accept the resolution

I am rejecting this response because:First they collected $166 for my Medicare deductable when I checked into the hospital.  Medicare said they had not have authority to do so.   As the Doctor’s, x-ray people. X-ray readers and other medical providers sent their bills to Medicare they  took another deductable from those bills as they were received before the hospital bill was sent to Medicare.  Therefore I was paying double for my deductable.  I called Medicare and asked why they did that and they said that the Hospital should not have collected the $166 as only Medicare make the determination what bills that deductable would be applied to. After several months talking and mailing to the hospital with no response I filled my Revdex.com claim. They then sent me a letter with another copy of the entire bill and stated they had looked into it and when my Insurance company paid another $1,353.91 they would then sent me back my money.  The insurance company said they have paid all that they were to pay and that I did not owe anything more to them.  Medicare still says they were not to collect that amount. They said it was their policy to do so.   I know that was not true because my wife was in the same hospital on the orthopedic side and they never  collected from her which was 3 day before my entry.I had a Medicare person on the phone and we tried to call the billing department but they did not answer for over 20 minutes so the Medicare person said she would have to leave the line but to tell them they should pay that back to me. Since it has been over a month since I got their letter as stated above which had no return address or telephone number for me to follow up I am going to the News Media if I do not get a response and alert other people that had checked into that hospital they too may have been taken by the hospital.
