St. Charles C Store, 1216

On Friday night or early Saturday morning May 17 or 18, my husband [redacted] went into the gas station to purchase a pack of cigarettes. While in there he saw two peace sign necklaces so he purchased them and also a leaf necklace. We put them on Sunday and the peace sign necklaces popped into at least four pieces each. On yesterday which was the 20th he went to return them and he was told to come back that might and talk to the employee that sold them to him. We did just that and that employee showed us the new necklaces that they had in there and told us that the ones we had were old we have to come in after 10:00 am to talk to the manager. I did just that walked to the store asked for the manager and told him what happened. He then stated that the leaf necklace did not come from them and that the peace sign ones weren't sold from there we must have purchased them from another store. I then replied that the store is the only one open in this area that time of night and we don't have a car to travel any farther. He again stated that we didn't purchase them from there. I asked him can they pull up the video and check to be sure and he refused talking to me like I haven't had a clue as to what I was talking about, in fro t of other customers. It may not be a lot of money, but 4.99 a piece is a lot to us.
