Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2016/08/12) */
Revdex.com COMMENT: Business called and gave this statement.
He told me to come by and look at it. I did come by his house and look at it. Front door was wide open and no answer so I went around back to look at the job. It looked fine. I did look at...

it and he states that I did not look at it. He says I didn't do the job right, but my two guys who did the job did do it right. I asked my guys and I also asked [redacted] if the job was good and he agreed it looked good. He has been using the patio. He has flower pot and a bar b que grill on it.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 11, 2016/08/12) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
If [redacted] came to my front door and it was was open somebody was home. My dog usually has a fit if someone rings doorbell or knocks. A phone call would have gotten someones attention. I have no problem with the surface finish. My problem is that I wanted a patio extension instead of a handicap ramp. [redacted] and I agreed that the north edge would extend out level to the east and that slope would extend up toward the house at same pitch as my existing patio. What I received is more of a ramp up to the patio instead of being a patio extension. As previously stated I was leaving town that morning and went ahead and paid [redacted]. His men were still working on the pad, but I was not aware that it had that much slope. Hindsight tells me that I should have gotten my level out and checked things or at least loaned them my level. I did loan them my wheelbarrow after theirs broke. Most tradesmen do not like someone looking over their shoulders while they are working. I have over 3 inches of slope in the 8 feet. Yes, there are flower pots but I have to put something against wheels to stop them from rolling off.
BOTTOM LINE IS THAT I DID NOT GET WHAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO RECEIVE. I AM DISAPPOINTED THAT I CAN NOT USE MY PATIO EXTENSION AS I INTENDED. I AM ALSO DISAPPOINTED THAT A BUSINESS DOES NOT PROVIDE WHAT WAS AGREED ON.

Revdex.com COMMENT: He spoke with the consumer and asked him; the consumer, if he wanted him to come out and tear it out and he refused. For what he spent on it 212 dollars it would not be worth coming back out there to fix it. It's usable. Why is he having second thoughts. Sounds to me like he wants it for free.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 21, 2016/08/29) */
I am not asking for anything free. [redacted] agreed to pour a concrete pad as an extension of my existing
patio. This was to be level along north edge and match slope of existing patio. He quoted me a price of
$212 which I agreed to. The day they poured the extension I was trying to leave town and I went ahead
and Paid [redacted] before the job was completed . Left town assuming everything would be ok as it was only
a 5 foot by 8 foot pad . I came back to town 4 days later and pushed my Big Green Egg and cart (about
400 pounds) out on the pad and it wanted to continue going. I checked and found that I had in excess of
3 inches of slope in the last six feet of a total of eight feet. Wheeled flower pots have a tendency to run
off the edge unless you put blocks under wheels making it hard to use as a patio. I called [redacted] and all I
got was a "I'm sorry". He did call me after I contacted Revdex.com and asked me if I expected him to tear it out
and redo. I told him, as I recall, that I only wanted whatever it took to give me what we had agreed on.
I do not know why this happened as one of his crew members was with him when we agreed as to what
I wanted. In fact, [redacted] suggested that we hold the pad level along the front (north) and match existing
slope of my patio.
Bottom line is that [redacted] knows what he was supposed to give me. He (his crew) did not give me that.
I'm just glad that it wasn't something big and many, many $ more. I am sorry [redacted] does not stand
behind his work and this could not be resolved.

Revdex.com Comment 9-13-2016
Business called in and responded with:
The home owners in Lebanon [redacted] and [redacted] when I was there before they went on vacation told me they loved the coloring and stamp work. That is what she had been looking...

for all along. If they keep harassing me over this ordeal they will be speaking to my attorney.
