December 1, Surgery @ StFrancis hospital [redacted] InsuranceJanuary received several bills from StFrancis hospital related to surgery and hospital stayBills were all paid in February and March One was for hospital stay and surgical costs and one was for physician/surgeon fees.November Received another bill from StFrancis hospital.December 2, Called StFrancis @ ###-###-#### -questioned bill – what it was for and, why it took months to be sent to me when others were sent immediatelyAssociate told me that I was previously issued a refund of $on March 3, – I asked why I got a refund and, if a check was issued as, I have NOT received any checks/refunds from StFrancisEspecially, a refund of $1,651.00.I also questioned why they would send me a refund if I had an outstanding balance? The representatives had no answersI asked to speak to manager, told none available and someone would call me backNo one ever called back.January 4, Called StFrancis Hospital again @ ###-###-#### – asked for a print out of charges from December 1, surgery and, payments made by me previously and insurance related to this eventTold that they could not provide thatAgain, I asked for manager, to obtain explanations I still don’t understand where these additional charges came from or, why it took months to bill meAgain, no manager available and no one called me backAssociates can’t explain anything to me or, answer any of my questions and, managers are never available and never return my requests for callsWho can explain this to me?January 10, called again – this time representative gave me another 800# to call to get the summary of charges that I was asking forFinally, I thought I would get answersHowever, when I called the telephone number I was told that this number was for insurance companies only and, was not to be given to individual clientsTherefore, they could not give me any information.I immediately called StFrancis AGAIN and again was told that managers were not available to discuss with meAGAIN, I asked for a callback and received NONE.February 8, called StFrancis, still seeking information regarding this so called credit that I was issued in MarchAssociate did not have any information and, said would have manager call meNO return call received.It appears that StFrancis has now sent this bill, $account # [redacted] to a collection agency.Why should I have to pay for something that they cannot explain to meThey have never attempted to explain my account to me.I have contacted them directly many times to get answers and no one can tell me where this bill came from months later, what it is for or, why I was previously issued a refund (and where that refund went, as I never received it.)I would like to speak to someone that is knowledgeable from StFrancis, someone that can explain this matter to me in detailUltimately, I would like a print out showing the charges, insurance credits and credits made by me previously.I have paid all other obligations to StFrancis but, I demand an explanation of my account and, this bill before I make any additional paymentsIt makes no sense to me why I was charged months later for a surgery that was initially billed in January 2016.I have also spoke to Aetna, my insurance company about this matter and they told me that they were billed for this in December and denied it to StFrancisSo, WHY did StFrancis wait months to bill me? And, why did StFrancis issue me a credit of $1,in March and, where is this credit? Was a check issued, because I never received one.Please help me to get answers to this ongoing issueI am unable to get answers from anyone with knowledge from StFrancis.Thank you,
