I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I would like any future customer to know that if you take a running motorcycle to Early's Cycle Center to get an estimate and you decide you would like to get someone else to work on it, the estimate cost will not include returning the motorcycle back to you as it was received from you. We have received your letter by mail about a complaint that was filed about our business.After reviewing the complaint and speaking with our entire service department and myson who were involved in this incident we have come to the conclusion that the customer[redacted] has embellished some of the...

facts that occurred in the situation and did notbring up his actual resolution and actions concerning this incident.Our response is as follows: On May 21st, 2015 the gentleman brought in his unit to ourservice department for us to perform an estimate because there was abnormal enginenoise and it was not running correctly. After one of our technicians did the estimate andby the way has been employed doing this kind of work for over 20 years came to theconclusion that in order to fix the machine correctly it would need a transmission rebuildand the carburetor cleaned which came to a total just for parts of $360.00 not includingthe labor to do it which would be an estimate of 6-8 hours at $68.00/hour would rangefrom $408.00 - $544.00.When the estimate was completed our Service Manager contacted the gentleman andmade him aware of the findings and what the estimated cost would be to fix the machineof $768.00 - $904.00 depending on how long it took. The gentleman then told ourservice manager "it's not worth that to fix it" and then proceeded to ask how much heowed for the estimate and was told $65.00 and said he would be in to pick it up.When the gentleman came to the service department to pick up his machine he wasdumbfounded when he saw the machine was not put back together and that if he wantedit put back together his repair bill would increase from $65.00 to $130.00 for the labor ofa technician for taking it apart to find what was wrong with it just like the customer asked(and still not fixing it) and putting it back together. He did not seem to understand thatyou have to pay an hourly rate for shop/repair work and it is cl[redacted] posted in our servicedepartment that our hourly rate is $68.00/hour. The customer at this point was notwilling to invest his money for proper repairs and was not going to be satisfied with anyoutcome. He did then have a conversation with one of our technicians while he was offthe time clock. At this point our technician made an individual deal with the customeroutside of the [redacted]'s Cycle Center business which we are not responsible for.  However,witnesses were present that are employed at [redacted]'s Cycle Center and the events in shortare as listed:1. Technician offered $100.00 for machine.2. Customer accepted3. Technician said if you change your mind over the weekend let me know andyou can have it back.4. Customer took $100.005. Service Manager reduced bill to try and make customer satisfied from $65.00to $50.00.6. Customer left [redacted]'s Cycle Center happy and $50.00 in hand that he did nothave before.7. Customer never called or came back to reverse the individual deal.After reviewing all the facts that occurred in this particular incident we as a whole andcould only presume that the Revdex.com would disagree with the customersdesired settlement of an additional $75.00 payment for the machine considering he sold itto an individual not [redacted]'s Cycle Center based solely on his own decision making skills.The outcome of this situation could have been completely different or altered if thecustomer's actions and thought process would have been more through.Thank you,Sheldon EarlyOwner/PresidentEarly's Cycle Center Inc.[redacted]
