This is regarding the complaint that was submitted regarding an office visit copay for $that needed to be refundedThe patient MRN is *** *** ***, the complaint was received in my office on 09/07/as it was originally sent to StJude Medical Center in error as we are St Jude
Heritage the Medical Group, we are the Physicians and not the hospitalI reviewed the account and determined the patient was due his copayment of $30.00, this was refunded back to his card on 09/07/to the VISA card that the payment was made on the transaction * ***I mailed a copy of the receipt showing this was refunded to the patient and a call was made and a message was left for the patient to return my callI did call and leave another message today as I wanted to confirm the patient did see this was credited back to his card. While the $was refunded, this company has failed to provide an action plan for ensuring that other patients are refunded money in a timely mannerYour company is always quick to send a bill when the patient has not paid enough, so you you certainly CAN refund any over-paymentsBy not paying the requested additional $to cover the extra time involved in getting this resolved, your company herein is authorizing all future patients to not pay their bills in a timely manner AND not to have to pay any penalties for paying ANY and ALL late payments.You NEED to have an independent auditor manage your company
