I could not find a way to convey this information on the websiteI would like to update my complaint as the business in question contacted me today and informed me they have removed the bill from my balanceWith the timing I am not sure if they did this of their own accord or if they were responding to my Revdex.com complaint, but in either case I consider this complaint to be resolvedThank you!

I am rejecting this response because The evaluation was not free, as I paid by check at the time of first serviceThe statement that I had a “free” evaluation is completely false I was not informed that my insurance did not cover the paperwork they gave me or that I’d be charged extra for returning itI was then told that to participate in the program would be $a day, not the $I was initially quotedThe Institute did agree to not charge me for giving me the paperwork, but informed me that I could not be treated without returning itTherefore, I could not participate because of their failure to fully inform me of costsI never would have made another appointment or taken the paperwork if I had been adequately informed at the initial (not free) appointmentTo inform me of these fiduciary changes a few hours before my appointment and then tell me I can’t be seen without prepayment is irresponsible and necessitated my cancellationI cannot give hour notice of cancellation when I’m not given all pertinent information about the appointment until only hours before it is to take placeWhen I was finally called back at I had less than minutes before I would have had to leave my house to get there on time for a program their rules prohibited me from participating inThe “paper” I signed they are referring to is actually a handBOOK that had to be signed in order to be seen, despite the fact you are not given time to read itIf you read it first you would be considered late for your appointment and then charged for canceling less than hours in advanceI can’t see how it isn’t a scamAgain, I should not be charged for their lack of professionalism and they need to remove their A+ Revdex.com rating claim from their yellow pages listing since the Revdex.com website claims this Institute is not a participant of their program

The patient came in for her free screening on 10/25 to see if she was appropriate for the program.  She did meet the requirements for the program and set up the next appointment. When the patient found out what the IOP benefits were, she decided she could not afford it. She called her doctor...

expressing her concern. There was an extra charge that she claimed she was not aware of and that charge is for extensive paperwork to determine a treatment plan that is not covered by insurance. Her doctor reached out to her on 11/8/17 at 11AM returning her voicemail stating that since the patient was not told about the extra charge, we would waive that fee and she could come in that day at her scheduled appointment time. The patient declined. The doctor told her she would be charged for a missed appointment if she did not come in, as we have a 24 hour notice policy, which the patient was aware of and signed a document agreeing to.
