-Per St Louis Community College's(STLCC) published policies: Students with outstanding debt owed to STLCC may not register for credit or continuing education classes or
program, engage any new service or receive a transcript
-STLCC Refund Policy and Procedures state: The student must complete the 'Add/Drop/Withdrawal' form and submit it to Enrollment Services (Admissions & Registration)Refunds are prorated based on the start date of the course and the date of the withdrawal
To formally withdraw, to receive a grade of a 'W' for the course, the withdrawal process must be completed prior to the end of the college's 12th week of classesPlease note refunds of tuition and fees paid will not be given after the 3rd week of classes
For example, Student Z enrolled in week full term courses and withdrew after the 3rd week:
a) If Student Z has paid in full for courses no refund is due, because withdrawal was after 3rd week of classes
b) If Student Z enrolled in an active payment plan agreement to pay for courses enrolled in; the payment plan will continue to attempt in accordance with the agreed upon Terms & Conditions until financial responsibility is satisfied
c) If student Z does not honor, her financial responsibility for the course she enrolled in, an Accounts Receivable (A/R) hold will be placed on the student account to prevent registration or the release of transcripts until balance owed is paid in full
Please Note: If the student is eligible to receive financial assistance from the Financial Aid office, the approved aid will be applied to the accountIf the amount of approved aid does not satisfy the total balance due, the student is responsible for the remaining amount dueIf the student is not eligible for financial assistance, she is still responsible for balance owed for the classes she enrolled in

My Name is *** *** and I am the District Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships for StLouis Community CollegeI am sorry for the delayed response but until very recently I was unaware of the compliant and it has now been
forwarded to me for an appropriate response
In an effort to prevent fraud and abuse in the Federal Pell Grant Program, the Department of Education identifies students with "unusual enrollment histories" at various institutionsAs student are flagged by the Department of Education, academic institutions are required to resolve discrepancies of identified students who have such enrollment historiesThe student in question did submit financial aid forms that are required for processing, in July, However, based on the student's information with the Department of Education and the National Student Loan Database, she was flagged by the Department of Education as an unusual enrollment patternGiven that this students situation was outside the realm of processing, there was a delay in completing her fileOur records do indicate that there was continuous communication between the college and the student to resolve the situationWe received additional documentation from the student to fulfill the Department of Education's requirement, on 9/11/Upon receiving the required documentation from the student, she was processed for financial aid and given a book accountThe student received her eligible funding in SeptemberIn addition, she utilized her book account and received a refund from her student aidThe student is enrolled in classes with various start dates throughout the semester, beginning in SeptemberConsequently, specific funding will continue to disburse once all of her semester classes have started and class attendance has been verified
Thank you
