Review: I am trying my best to pay doctors bills for my husband's hospitalization last year. I pay the bills individually through [redacted] whenever I can. I keep getting a bill from the hospital for a lump sum that doesn't agree with the outstanding bills I see and I believe I am being overcharged. I need an itemized bill for each charge and credit as I believe I am being overcharged and they are not accommodating me. When I try to call I get the runaround being given different phone numbers to call and no one gets back to me. I have received a "final bill".Desired Settlement: Clear itemized bill of charges and credits without overcharges.

Review: I have had several appointments at this hospital all for the same exact service. I have perfect credit and I have never been late on any payment of any sort. I have had the same infusions at a number of different hospitals and this is the only hospital I've ever had an issue with. To my surprise they have sent me to collections, I have spent hours on the phone trying to figure out what has been going on. Today I discovered that all the bills have been paid by my insurance but that Roosevelt hospital HAS NOT accepted the payments.

So here you have a hospital that has not done it's job in accepting payments given and then has sent me to collections. Their billing department is a joke and instead of accepting money that was sent to them they have wrong me as a consumer in a big way so I'm speaking out and loud.Desired Settlement: Fix your billing department. This is ridiculous.

Review: I was hospitalized last summer. had a bill of over $3000. The hospital was kind enough to set up a payment plan of $145 per month.

I specifically asked and they assured me they would send me a monthly statement. I made the 1st payment over the phone.

After 6 weeks I received no statement. I called them and made a payment .

I specifically asked again and again they assured me they would send me a statement..

The next statement I got was for the entire bill. I called them the next business day.

They told me they sent it to a collection agent and there was nothing they could do.

There was absolutely no reason or need to do this. I thought they were supposed to help people heal.

This incompetent and nasty behavior has the complete opposite result.Desired Settlement: I would simply like them to keep our original agreement.

If they do not want to send a statement, please just tell me where to send the payments and I will be glad to do so.

Review: On April [redacted], 2014, I had a routine examination of my thyroid gland at St. Luke Hospital in New York city. My account number at St. Luke Hospital is: [redacted]. I was covered at that time by Medicaid insurance and I have a letter from New York State to prove that.

Nevertheless, St. Luke has billed me $224.74 for that examination. St. Luke claimed in its bill that I had no insurance at the date of service.

I called St. Luke/ billing department and I explained to them that I had Medicaid at the time of service. The billing department promised me to fix this issue.

Despite that, I received the same bill again from St. Luke. I called again and I talked to the billing department at St. Luke and I offered to read to them the letter from New York State that confirms that I had Medicaid on the date of service. They have told me that they know that I had Medicaid on the date of service.

Finally, I received last week a letter from a collection agency hired by St. Luke Hospital to pay the same bill of $224.74.Desired Settlement: St. Luck needs to remove that bill of $224.74 and cancel the collection of that bill from the collection company.

Review: I visited their emergency room and the physicians assistant did not physically examine me. After looking at me for about 3 minutes he told me nothing was wrong with me and sent me home. I then received a bill for 917.60 2 weeks later even though I have insurance. I explained to their patient relations department that this bill was wrong and that it is violating to have been looked at for 3 minutes then charged this absurd amount of money. I've contacted many people in that department to try to receive some amount of help or resolution but no one cares and I was sent a generic letter in response that stated what time I came to the hospital and what time I left when my letter had nothing to do with the amount of time I was at the hospital but the lack of care the Physicians assistant offered me.Desired Settlement: I would like either the entire bill waived for all they have put me through with the back and forth and to make sure this does not involve my credit. If they cannot provide a full waive of the bill I would like them to reduce the amount significantly to match the care I received.
