I would like to personally thank Karen S[redacted] in the customer service center for providing me with the best service during a sticky situation. About two weeks ago around Sept.13th 2015 I went to a [redacted] drive up ATM in [redacted] nh. I entered my St. Marys bank debit card attempting to withdraw $480.00 in cash. the machine finished the transaction, spit out my debit card, and receipt showing the withdrawal yet no money! I was furious! the next morning I went to [redacted] and explained the situation to the woman in customer service. She went on to tell me that she was unable to help me and that I would have to dispute the situation with my bank, even though it was THEIR atm I was using. I waiting at the bank while I contacted St. marys customer service center to dispute . I within less then 2 minutes a woman named Karen answered eager to help in any way she could. She explained it could take 7-10 business days to bounce back into my account. I explained that I am a single mother and this money is for my other half of rent and it cannot wait. Karen explained she would see if she could contact someone to expedite the process and help me get my money back and reimbursement for the 3 $3 [redacted] ATM service fees. Karen in less then 10 minutes fixed the problem. It is experiences like this one that will keep me as a member with your bank for LIFE! Karen went above and beyond any expectations I had and put forth 150% more effort than anyone [redacted] included. Thank you so very much for treating me like you would your family and always providing the most personable experience. [redacted] is not [redacted] and has somehow obtained a clearly false title. In my opinion and many others St marys bank is the BEST and MOST convenient bank! Thank you soooooo Very much Karen! You are amazing! and a prime example of why I will bank with St.Mary's bank for LIFE!

I have a mortgage with St Mary's and it is a DISASTER. At the beginning they tried to change my rate from what we agreed upon at pre-approval to what the final paperwork said. Luckily I brought the original paperwork with me because they were not going to correct the mistake otherwise. Then they tried to make me do direct withdrawal with them which I was adamant from the beginning I would not do. At the first payment they tried once again to raise my rate. AGAIN I had to go to the main branch to correct. (I live two hours north of Manchester so this is very inconvenient). They proceeded to mess up escrow for the next 3 years before finally getting it straight. They forgot to pay my Mortgage Life Insurance one year (in speaking directly with the life insurance company, they said St Mary's needs to be watched like a hawk or they will "forget" to pay in hopes customer doesn't notice the policy lapsed). Then most recently for the past two years they have failed to provide a statement/bill for my mortgage in the mail. They finally switched to a coupon book, which I disagreed with in person with their escrow person because I have no way of seeing how/when/if they are paying out the escrow payments on time. This all leads me to why I finally decided to report them. They failed to pay my property insurance, and I received a bill saying policy is in danger of cancellation. Called the bank, and they confirmed that escrow is being deducted from my monthly payments to cover property insurance and "hmm that's not right" was the response and that they would check into it "in the next day or so." I have heard that line SO many times over the past 8 years with them and I am just so tired of dealing with them. So now I have to wait "a day or so" for a call that will never come (it never does) and then I will once again have to miss a day of work and drive two hours to their main branch to meet with someone in person to get WRITTEN PROOF that they have finally done their job. I hate writing reviews especially negative ones but seeing a 5 star A+ rating for this disaster of a bank/credit union whatever they want to call themselves is awful. Oh and they spell "checking" wrong on their app, it says "chekcing" everywhere. THEY. ARE. TERRIBLE.
