Revdex.com Representative, On 2/14/the customers that wrote you were asked to leave StNicholas Brewing CompanyThe couple came in for dinner and were agitated that they had to wait to be seated as they did not have a standing reservation on Valentine’s Day and we were quite busy for a Tuesday
nightThey ended up waiting less than ten minutes to be seated. Once they were seated, I sent one of our best servers to them in hopes she would be able to calm them down a bit and reverse their agitationShe complained to me throughout the service that the couple was making her feel uncomfortableShe is currently pregnant and they were asking her a lot of personal questions about her pregnancyThe couple then proceeded to become extremely loud when I went to their table and told them I would be taking over for *** as she was too busy to finishMy intentions were not to embarrass the couple I wanted them to have an enjoyable experienceUpon taking the table over (which is not standard protocol, for the GM to take over), I noticed they seemed intoxicatedI refused to serve them any more alcohol as we have a strict policy and I try to follow the rules as closely as possible when it comes to serving alcoholAt this time they got loud and after asking them to calm down they didThey walked to the front of the restaurant and continued to pay their bill to the original server, ***They started giving her a hard time and asked her to adjust their billShe came and found me for backup and I again asked them very politely and discretely to leaveThey then went to other patrons that were waiting and told them that I was being abusive to my pregnant waitressI have asked the waitress to comment in this matter and she is ready and willing to do so upon request.We truly tried to settle this matter in a calm and discreet mannerWe stand by the decision to deny them any more alcoholWe do think that they came in drunk as they only had two drinks each while at our establishmentWe will not issue a refund, as they were waited on promptly and received their food in a timely manner and were served with respectI feel the couple was drunk and embarrassedIf this acts as a strike against our restaurant for refusing to over-serve customers, we must stand by thatWe also stand by the right refuse service to anyone that is making any of our staff uncomfortableI hope this matter can be reviewed and resolvedBut I also asked these folks not to come back to our establishmentThat is the first time I have ever asked any customer to not come backIf you look at our reviews on other sites you will see that we work very hard to be the best we canWe are a small family owned business and we take these reviews very seriouslyThank you for your timeI look forward to hearing back. ***, General Manager
