Due to a faulty internal power supply board, my computer monitor stopped workingAfter conducting a little research, I went into The Specialists and explained the problemI spoke to a lady working behind the counter; she was sitting at her own desk, and appeared to be the managerShe said that she would give my monitor to her repairman and that he would call me on the following MondayI didn't get a call all week!
I went back to the store on the following Saturday, and spoke to the same woman, who again told me the same story, i.ethat *** (now I had a name) would call me on MondayThis time, however, I did receive a call, but it wasn't from ***It was from an apathetic-sounding young girl who told me that my monitor needed a new power board, but they could not find one on the internet(Really? When I got home, I found three separate websites, not including ebay, that had power boards for sale, all priced under $50.)
I said to the girl that I would come and pick up my monitor, and then was flabbergasted when she told me that I would have to pay a $fee because "*** had to look at it." What a rip-off! I guess I should consider myself lucky that I got my monitor back
It galled me that the manageress handed the monitor to me with a big smile on her face, even though I had received no advance disclosure about the $feeI felt like I'd been screwedWhat really galled me, however, was the fact that the Revdex.com logo was on proud display in their window!
I heartily recommend The Specialists at 4414 E. Speedway in Tucson.I walked into their store at 10AM today, was thoughtfully advised by [redacted] on backup camera systems for my two Hondas, left and came back at 1:30 for the installs, and was out the door at 3:30PM with two fully functioning in-dash systems that look like they were designed by Honda for Honda. Not only did [redacted] correctly assess my needs (I'm a 78 year old man), he worked with me to include hands-free Bluetooth phone call capability and all for a price I could afford.
