St. Peters Cemetery Reviews (3)

Review: My Father. [redacted] passed away 23 years ago, and was buried in this cemetery. Yesterday, I received the following e-mail from my sister [redacted] (###-###-####) who currently lives in Pittsburgh with my mom;

"Yesterday we went to Dad's grave to put a flag on it. The grave marker is gone! Where the marker should be there is a white rock with the word 'Until' written on it. The office was closed so I called, explained the situation and told them to call me back ASAP. Of course we were all in shock but we went on with our day. Then, last evening, about 6:00, it dawned on me that I should take a picture of the rock so [redacted] and I went back to the cemetery and there were flowers on Dad's grave! Whoever left the flowers had to know it was Dad's grave because there is no grave marker! WHAT???!!!"

It looks like the grave has been dug up. There's no grass on it and not long ago Mom called them to complain because the grass had not been cut. I don't know what to think. I've called again, they have not returned my calls and I cannot find an email address for them.

Please, can somebody help us, and check and see what happened? Did they move my dads grave, or have they placed another body on top of his? Please, Please Please help us!!!!Desired Settlement: Please tell us what happened to our Father.

Review: 9/25/13 - A headstone was purchased and paid in full in April 2012, and has yet to be placed on the grave. It has been left sitting on the side of the office. I have left numerous messages but have never received a return call. One Saturday this spring 2013, I stopped by the cemetery and happened to catch the caretaker preparing for a service that day. He told me that there was an issue with the ground shifting at the grave but assured me that he would have it placed in the next 2-3 weeks. That was almost 6 months ago and it had already been over a year at that point. An even bigger concern now is that we are coming up on the winter months again and the ground will be too frozen for the stone to be placed for yet another 6 months.This is an unfortunate, insensitive, and unnecessary, burden to place on a family. I would not recommend having this be your loved ones final resting place.Desired Settlement: To have the stone placed no later that October 15, 2013 and to be notified when completed.

Please do not do business with this cemetery. The business practices are very poor. The only way to reach someone is to leave a voice message. The phone automatically goes to voicemail where you are told that office hours are by appointment only. The problem is after you leave a message, you don't get a return call. How are you supposed to do business if you can't communicate? Again, don't waste your time here, go find a more reputable cemetery in the area. You have been warned!
