I am rejecting this response because:
This is my response to Su Tran’s letter line by line.Yes I did ask him to replace my right axle on 03/17/(Tue)Yes I did ask him to replace my left axle on 03/20/(Fri).(Not Back to back days as Su stated, I have receipts and work orders.)On the 03/17/work order: Under work description Su wrote: No ABS and R.Rwhich I do not know what that meansI know my car has no ABSI do not know what type of differential it hasSu asked me as if I am the mechanicAll I could give him for help was that: when I had both front tires in the air, one wheel spins clockwise, while the other spins counter clockwise. On the 03/20/work order: Su wrote nothing like the 03/17/work descriptionI assumed that since he had already order the right side axle, that he had the information for the left axleThe Driver side axle is the most important axle because it has/had a dynamic damperThis is a tick rubber piece added to the axle to work as a weight to reduce vibration on the steering wheel similar to a wheel weight on a rim to balance the tires.(Back to Su letter)Yes he did order the axles based on the year and model as he stated, but clearly he forgot the MAKE which is (***) and what type of differentialWhich later I found out that there is a Limited Slip differential and a Locking differentialYes the axles went on “well”, until I put my aftermarket wheels on Sat 3/21/I noticed the axles stuck out too far outThis prevented the center cap to snap secureHere is the thing, with the axles Su took off, my aftermarket wheels went on perfect with the center cap, no problemSu has seen the car several times with the aftermarket wheels on. I called Su on that Saturday 03/21/and explained the problemHe said to go to his shop Monday 03/23/I went after work and had Su look at the axlesHe clearly agreed with them being wrong and sticking too far out.(Back to Su Letter) Su claimed he orders axles by the bookMaybe that book is outdated or else he would not be asking me what type of differential I hadBeing that he has years of experience and his ASE Certification, he should have known rather than ask me, that is why I took my car to him for services. After Su agreed with having the wrong axles, he called his parts providerSu asked me again if I had Limited Slip differential or Locking differentialSo it sounded like we were back to square oneSu parts provider did not have my axles in stock and that I had to wait two days for them to arriveI told Su that I had to get to work with my carHe said that if I wanted to get my own axles, he would install them and refund me for the ones he had already installed. So I went to get the axles myselfI described to the parts seller the same details about how my wheels turn once the front is liftedHe got my serial number and gave me the two axles he said were for my carI have the receipt with the axle’s part number and date (03/23/2015)I took the axles to Su for installHe seemed very upset that he had to do the labor for free, after the fact he said he was not going to charge meOnce the axles were installed, I still had the same center cap problem Su explained that it could be because his axles and mines were remanufactured, that was new news for meI told Su that I was going to take my car to the dealership where they can do it right the first time.On 03/24/when I arrived home, I smelled lube grease coming from my left side, I took the wheel off and saw the axles outer CV boot was torn and grease was all over my suspension parts and the back of my wheelsI again called Su and told him this new problemHe claimed I bought a defective axle or a rock probably hit itWhat were the odds of a rock getting up in there and tearing a hole in the CV boot? The axle was not defective, the box was seal new when I bought itThere was no grease inside the box eitherI checked all my parts before leaving the storeWhy did his mechanic do not check the parts before installing?(Back to Su letter) After Su claiming I bought a defective axle, on his letter he clearly said: If I bring him ANOTHER axle, he would install itOnly this time, the left axle did not come outThey were only able to pull out the right axleI told Su that since they install it, they have to remove itHe then told me that it was stuck and that the only way it was going to come out was by removing the transmissionWhich he did not want to do, because of my attitude he saidYes I get an attitude, but what customer would not get mad after being told they were not going to fix it and to take the car elsewhere. *** ***
