Stackhouse Plumbing Solutions Reviews (%countItem)

On Wednesday, July 15, 2020 I hired Drew S. of Stackhouse Plumbing Solutions (Poppy's Plumbing Inc.) based a referral I received from an agency to install two new toilets.
From the moment he inspected the toilets he began complaining about the low quote he made and the time required he realized it would take to complete the job.
Not only were the toilets poorly installed, subsequently causing leaks into my downstairs ceiling, he attempted to throw away supplies included in the packaging simply because he didn't want to install them.
When I reported to him that the toilets were not installed properly he told me he would not be correcting his mistakes.
The worse part of it all is since the toilets are leaking I will have to hire another plumber to correct his expensive mistake.
When the referral company contacted me about the negative review I left on their website, I learned he denied I was ever a client. Little did he know he was being recorded entering and exiting my home with toilets in hand.

His lack of professionalism, integrity and honesty in the execution of his job should serve as a fair warning for others interested in his services.

If I could leave a ZERO star rating I would.

We signed a contract for $1695 with Drew Stackhouse or Stackhouse Plumbing/Poppy's plumbing for a convert tub into shower in our ONLY bathroom/shower with demo included (basically remove tub, remove some tiles ) mold valve removal, new shower pan install with curb and permits. The agreement was signed on 5/18/2020 with job to start on 5/20/2020; paid the first installation of 50% ie 847 via chq . The retile was to be done by a different person...Below is the sequence of missteps by Stackhouse Plumbing/Poppys plumbing and loss of our trust on them based on the sequence of events. May 20th, no one showed up in the morning as agreed and I got a call at 12:51 pm saying the appointment will be moved to May 21st , so already got off to a bad start but at LEAST we still have out TUB intact so we can shower at home. Got a call at 9:50 pm from Drew saying he has an emergency at Orlando etc and that it was going to be a late-night etc so he can't make it for May 21st morning now, AGAIN, disappointed but we still had the tub so we agreed to have the appointment moved to May 22nd (Friday ). On May 22nd at 8:27 am Drew says he was on his way and then at 9:37 am he txt that he was "Rear ended" and casually says he "be a few", one would think "be a few" means maybe 1 hr, etc? AGAIN we empathized and again agreed for the appointment to be moved now to May 27th as per Drews request ....you would think with so many delays any business owner would feel the guilt and try to prioritize the customers they delayed on and get the task done ASAP like on May 26th on priority, but that did not seem to be the attitude. May 27th came and Drew text saying he was on his way and 2 of his demo team members were on their way..the demo team of 2 arrived at 9:45 am and asked we "what we were doing today ", to which I had to explain to them what the plan was. They worked from 9:45 am to about 11:30 am and the tub was removed, they did not clean up the job site well and left without any further instructions for me or even indicating to me that they were leaving. Finally, Drew arrived at about 2 pm and it looked like there was a pipe that was obstructing the shower conversion project and it needed to be moved to the side, he said he would do it for an additional $850. I decided to not do that and complicate the issue and asked him to simply install a good quality tub like the way it was before and requested for a price revision , but he said the price will have to be the same ie $1695 even though we were not doing a walk-in shower conversion now...desperate as we don't have a tub now in our ONLY bathroom, I agreed and was promised that it would be installed on May 28th. On May 28th Drew said he had to leave for a family emergency and dropped the tub and some tub parts at around 1 pm and said he has some folks coming by to install the tub in a few hrs., he said he has some other important big projects he was trying to get some business from and made me feel like my work was not important.I looked up the price of the tub and saw that Drew was pushing a 150 dollar tub as a 340 dollar tub, I quickly countered by showing a snapshot from home depot website for $150 (same model #, etc) and got an excuse that apparently his supplier was cheating him..at this point, I got very annoyed and very very concerned that we might be dealing with someone who is not very honest. I started looking up what is the average price in Tampa for tub removal and install and quickly realized that we were paying TOP dollar for this basic job (lesson learned, ALWAYS do ur cost research first ) and not even getting basic responses...so I text back saying I did not trust Drew any more and was going to have to do more research and get more quotes and might cancel my project with Drew...Ironically, the folks that were supposed to arrive later that day to install the tub and did not know that I was not concerned, did not arrive on May 28th and they requested to show up on May 29th...I simply told them that their services were not required. As of this point, there is no tub, its a weekend and we had to start from scratch to get new quotes ...I had to join a nearby gym just to take a shower while this quote research was on. Finally, after interviewing about 3 new plumbers we found one that was reliable and always kept us informed ..the tub install was done for $485, there were some challenges in installing the tub as the fit was very close, but the plumber said he won't increase the price of the install beyond the quoted price..he also installed some additional convenience features like access panels...So once the tub was finally installed on June 8th , it was time to shop for tile install and that finished on Jun 18th ..finally, we have a tub and tiles so basically I have been showering in the gym since. Meanwhile, since May 29th we have been asking Drew for a refund of some money because 847 for a 1.5 hr demo that should cost no more than 250 and a tub that should cost 150 and some additional parts that may be cost about 30 ...So Drew actually owes us about 400 and if honest, he would have returned all the money no questions asked because he was the one who set his own schedules and broke his own...its July 7th today and we are yet to see any money from him. Would you hire someone like Drew?

THE STACHOUSE PLUMBING SOLUTIONS DID'NT COMPLETE THE INSTALLATIONS OF PIPING THE ENTIRE HOUSE. THEY LEFT ALL AREAS OPEN.
Please be advised that I would like to file a complaint for Stackhouse (Poppy's) Plumbing Solution, which I contacted around March 6, 2020 thur Porch to re-pipe my home.
We had a schedule appointment for Drew to come out to see the project at hand. He arrived and hour and half late. I gave him the benefit of doubt because he said traffic was the problem. He negogatied a price of 5700.00 that he wanted me to pay him something at that time. I told no, I needed to be sure that they were coming back.

The next day we arranged for them to start the work@ 9AM. I was informed that this project would only take 2 days. They again arrived late and dug a hole for a hour and than said they had to go to get supplies. They were gone about 5 hours and retuned just with two pipes. I was concerned that he had the wrong water meter and he could find it. He dug the wrong hole. I advised him that he was doing it wrong.

So this Friday he was suppose to come back @ 9AM to complete the job, I get a call around 10:30 stating that his plumber is sick and he wouldn't be back until Monday. He did not show up the plumber because he was sick and he had to work around children in the home so no one came.

My tenants are concerned because they left a big holes around the house and if someone get sick or fall in the hole, they sue us. When the plumber return he created other leaks where they wanted more money to repair them. So, we paid them. Then the tenants called me that they had flood and Drew was contacted and he came to repair them with a charge. The total job came 7100.00.

Drew was very very aggressive and uncooperative. the Project started around March 7, 2020 and still unresolved.

AS OF 4/4/2020, I HAVEN'T been able to contact him and all the pipes and he hasn't retuned my call. I spoke to the building department and found that he didn't file a permit for the work.

Desired Outcome

I am requesting that a record being on file about the company unsavory business practices and for them to complete the job or return our money so that we get the job completed. Conssumers need to infor about them.

Document Attached***
I emailed the company and they responded that they wouldn't be coming back to complete the work. Spoke to the Polk county building department and they never filed for a permit. At this time they are refusing to give me a refund for the unfinished work. I have submitted a copies of the receipts from the work I paid them for.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The company has not respond to completing the work< In addition, the work required a permit from the Building department of Polk County and they have-not
submitted a request to that department. I have now get another plumber to come and complete the work they haven't finished.
Still outstanding!!

On May 31, 2018 I contacted Poppy's Plumbing Inc. of Plant City, Florida due to problem with our home toilets not flushing correctly. I was directed to this company Poppy's Plumbing Inc., by way of Home *** and they had a five star rating. Drew with Poppy's Plumbing Inc. did perform certain duties that were previously agreed upon. His company, Poppy's Plumbing Inc. did remove our bathtub and replace it along with jack hammering the home's foundation to get to the pipes running to our septic tank to fix the broken pipe causing our flushing problem. After the floor was opened, the pipes redone and then resealed I found that all of this work should have been permitted through Hillsborough county. At NO point were any county or state inspections performed. We made the mistake of paying the fees due totaling $5,200 in cash. Drew left our bathtub area open with no tile and exposed wooden beams because we would not agree to let one of his team perform the work to complete the bathtub enclosure at an overpriced fee. When Drew put our newly purchased vanity in he failed to ensure the sink would drain properly, which is does NOT and it is constantly backed up when the water is at a trickle, along with the facet left too loose and it moves any time you touch it. At this point in time I have tried several times to receive the invoice, receipt and warranty that were promised to us at time of service.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I would like to receive the paperwork, invoice, receipt and warranty due to us for the work that was completed. Also, I would like for Poppy's Plumbing Inc. of Plant City, Florida 33567 to be notified that poor business ethics of this kind will be acted upon. At this time I am so disgusted with Poppy's Plumbing Inc. of Plant City, Florida that I do NOT want them near my home again and I will call another plumber to fix what they did not do correctly.
