Review: I purchased a used car 2/20/2013 from Stadium Chevy. I inquired several times about a warranty, and was told no less than three times that I had a 30 day/1,000 mi. warranty on the engine and transmission. I was told the car had no leaks. I took the car the next day to my mechanic to have the front brakes replaced (I was told they were fine-just needed adjusting) because I'm smart enough to know brake pedals don't need to be pushed clear to the foor. I was right,there were no front brakes. I was also told by my mechanic that both valve cover gaskets are leaking onto the engine. I phoned the dealership to see if this problem was covered under the engine warranty. It took two days to reach the salesman (he wouldn't bome to the phone or return my voicemail). I finally had to have another salesman track him down. I was then told that my car was sold to me "as is", and had no warranty at all, and at best it would only cover 25% of the repair. I had no intentions of taking it to Stadium for the work, because even with a 23% discount, it would cost more there than elsewhere. I do however resent being lied to and being called a liar (I didn't make up all that warranty info). I would like an apology, and would like other prospective buyers to be sure to get all the guarantees in writing before they purchase a vehicle.Desired Settlement: Apology.
