Although the quality of the dental care is adequate, customer service and billing are extremely horrible and KafkaesqueInstead of explaining additional after-the-fact charges, billing immediately activates debt collection agencies to hound confused patientsI suggest you avoid Stadium Dental and all Pacific Dental Services (their mother company) clinics as one can find good dental care elsewhere without the aggravation and denigration

the Hippa part can be close ,however, the other part has not been resolved. My dental insurance for 2015, has been...

almost depleted due to Stadium  Dental Group and I haven’t received the services I sought services for. My compliant, I stated they exhibited unethical and fraudulent practices.

Review: I was referred to the Dental Group, my previous Periodontist retired, my general dentist provided interim dental cleanings until I could find another Periodontist. I scheduled appointment with the dental group believing I would see an oral hygienist and the Periodontist the same as visit , which has been the usual procedure. However, I was scheduled for consultation, when I inquired about seeing the oral hygienist, I was told "You have already signed consent for billing, the oral hygienist isn't here." Also, while I was in the waiting room, I heard the front desk reveal names of the patients, which is a HIPPA violation.During the consultation, x-rays were taken and the Periodontist examined my teeth. He suggested that I have all my teeth pulled out and have implants inserted which would cost between forty and fifty thousand dollars. After he appointment I tired to schedule an appoint to have my teeth cleaned, the front desk told me thy would need authorization from my general dentist, whom they supposedly had contacted prior to the appointment with the Periodontist. I was later told that I needed to have a consultation with the oral hygienist before appointment could be scheduled to have my teeth cleaned. The front desk informed me that they contacted my dental insurance and I had enough coverage left for the consultation with the hygienist and the deep cleaning procedure. When I arrived for the appointment thinking I would see the hygienist for a consultation, however, instead I saw a general dentist. Another full set of x-rays were performed. I objected to the x-rays and having another consultation, which was a duplication of services.I haven't see the oral hygienist, I want to have the deep cleaning procedure. In my opinion, the dental group has exhibited scared tactics, unethical, and fraudulent practices. I believe I was treated badly.Desired Settlement: I was told by the front desk before I could see the oral hygienist, they would need prior authorization from the insurance which would take approximately 6 weeks. I told the front desk that I thought she already obtain authorization. I received a statement from the dental insurance that the 5/22/15 the submitted cost of the visit cost was $544.00,subsequently I owed $59.00. I still haven't seen the oral hygienist and not have my teeth cleaned. I want my teeth cleaned.

Review: I had 2 root canals performed. Before the first I told the insurance specialist to ensure my insurance would cover it and she said she checked and it was. I then recieved a bill for 260 dollars due to insurance being maxed out. I am afraid of what the second bill is now going to be as my insurance maxed after the first. The second root canal was done and before the crown was made I had to wait to ensure it was covered. After it was approved I recieved the crown same day on site which I thought was great. I now have an explanation from insurance saying the crown was not covered. I called the dentist the same day I recieved he 260 dollar bill and they said "don't worry we will take care of it next time we see you". I took this to mean they would forgive the bill as they messed up on insurance verification. However when I came in for pain in tooth with the root canal I had to pay the 260 in order to be seen. I paid the bill and 4 days later recieved a letter from a collection agency. Even after talking to them 5 times about the bill (every time I got another bill and when I made second appointment for root canal and again when I made appointment for the pain.) every time I was assured not to worry they would take care of it. When I came to the office to try and talk about it I spoke with the insurance specialist, during my inquiry I had 2 other office ladies jump in the conversation to try and tell me I was wrong. Both times not knowing what they were talking about. I felt ganged up on. All I wanted was the issue taken care of as they stayed over and over. If I had known to begin with that the crown was going to cost me over 350 dollars I would not have had it done.(I paid 90 on the day of the service as was my requirement not covered by insurance) the initial 90 is all I was told I would have to pay. I asked 3 times are you sure? You cannot believe what the office people tell you regarding insurance billing. Also they will perform X-rays and exams to max insurance.Desired Settlement: I just want others informed of their billing practice as I have heard others In The waiting room complaining of similar issues.
