her husband as MrGWe received a call from MrG requesting estimates on two different propertiesMy estimator, Eric W***, met MrG the morning of October 16, 2017 between 8:and 9:arn, Eric bid a trimming job for $plus tax and MrG accepted the job during that meeting.Eric and MrG proceeded to the second location to look at the other jobThis was a much larger job than the first propertyEric told MrG he would measure the job and get back to him with the estimateEric confirmed that MrG wanted the trimming done and explained that due to our workload, it would be a few months before the job could be completedMrG agreed and the only request he made was that the job be done on a Monday.Eric called the following week and gave the estimate to MsS for the second propertyMsS said she would give the estimate to MrGThe estimate was for a major re-work of the landscape and due to the extensive nature of the job, the bid was $14,plus taxApproximately three weeks later, MrG called and spoke with Eric and said he would think about the large estimate, but still wanted to do the trimming on their house for $250.00.On Monday January 8, 2018, our crew arrived to do the trimming on their homeMy foreman, Casey W***, knocked on the door as is our customary procedure when arriving to a jobThere was no answer, so after several minutes our crew began the jobAbout minutes later, MrG arrived and was extremely upsetOur foreman, Casey W***, called me and !asked to speak to MrGCasey handed the phone to him and I explained to him that Eric was sick that morning and the job had been scheduled on a Monday as previously requestedI told MrG that I would have my crew stop the work and leave and we would not charge him for ourtimeMrG said to go ahead and complete the job and send him a bill and he would send us a check.About an hour later MrG called and apologized and said Casey had been very cordial in the situationMrG stated we had missed a couple of bushes in the yardI explained that Eric would be back to work on Tuesday (the next day) and he would take care of the missed bushes at that timeWhen Eric arrived the next morning to trim the bushes, he saw Ms, S looking out the window and immediately called MrGEric explained that MsS did not look like she wanted our crew there and MrG said he would call her and for Eric to complete the trimming.About the time Eric was finishing the job, Mscame out to feed the deerEric apologized and said we were sorry for the confusion and for the situation that occurred and MsS became very upset and said that we butchered her juniper bushesEric explained to her that her husband requested for the junipers to be trimmed just like 1st National Bank which are round cut, which is how we their bushesShe was upset that no one called her and accused us of doing work without the customer being thereEric explained to her that the vast majority of our customers are vacation home owners and about 75% are not present when we do the jobShe told Eric that she had been home the previous day, but did not come to the door when Casey rang the door bellif MsS had answered the door that day, this situation would have been avoided completely, If she had told us she didn't want the work, we simply would have moved on to another job.My biggest regret was not calling them to let them know we had scheduled their job that morningEric was sick and I simply neglected to call.I do take great exception to MsS saying we use unscrupulous practice is our businessWe have done business in Ruidoso since and during that time we have developed a fantastic reputation for our honesty, work ethic, high integrity, and work performance in this communityWe have 140+ customers we service year round for maintenanceWe service hundreds of other customers for cleanups, landscaping, tree removal, and any other Landscaping needsBecause of our yearly maintenance program (some are weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly customers) we do over 2,jobs per year and receive many compliments about our crews, our office staff, and the work performedIn the 14+ years we have been in business in Ruidoso, we have never had any customer complain to the Revdex.comI take pride in owning and running my company in this community and Itake complaints very seriousWe continually work to ensure our customers are pleased with every aspect of the work we provide.If you have any questions about our company or the quality of our work, please contact the following:*** ***Executive DirectorRuidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce *** Village of Ruidoso Forestry Department *** *** ** *** ***Former city manager and head of the Ruidoso Food for Kids, Back packs of America program *** If you have any questions, I am happy to discuss this situation furtherPlease feel free to contact me any time at ***Respectfully,Dan S*Owner and Operator
