This entire complaint is bogusThis customer was a family friend and hired us in a panic because "she has had builders walk off with her money" so she saidWell after rushing to help her and get the job done (needless to say she is in Laredo txand we are in San Antonio) we completed the job and were paid but had to be paid through the builder who she was in the process of suingOnce again so she saidSo we get a check the was not cashable because the builders office manager and owner were unaccommodating obviously because we were doing there work now and because this lady was threatening a lawsuitSo we had to drive all over just to get paid on this jobNeedless to say, we did get paid after every job we had done for herThen she hires us to install her cabinets which we advise her that our workers are not cabinet installers and we could not guarantee the exactness of the cabinets, she says no worriesAnd we install themThen she begins to call repeatedly to come back because the cabinets were a1/of an inch off of her specsWell once again we were driving miles one way back and forth so at this point it would have to wait until we could get down thereThough she was a priority because of being a family friend and wanted to help her get her home completed "Since she couldn't get anyone else reputable out there" her words So here we go back to Laredo get the cabinets adjusted and now she wants her custom concrete countertopsWe do those for her which we do all the time residentially and commercially and get hers built and though she says they are crooked for some crazy reason she paid usAnd then still goes on to hire us for two more jobs on her propertyPaying upon completion of each job When she hired us to build her a road she was told that the crushed limestone was going to be x amount of dollars and that wasn't anywhere close to what she wanted to pay so instead we advised her to go with the road base at a more reasonable cost that she was willing to spendSo she ordered the road base and paid for it herself, was on property when it was delivered and on property when it was put laidShe says she wanted it rolled down with a roller, but we also told her that was dollars a day to rent that machine and once again it was not something she was willing to pay forSo we finished laying the road base the way we always do and we got paid Next she wanted the holes for the plumbing put into the countertops for the faucetWe advised her best to have the plumber do that when they are installing the faucet to it is to her specsWell now the plumber doesn't want to touch the counters in fear he will mess them up and knowing this customer, he did not want to have to pay to have them replacedOnce again we go down there in the evening this time because this is being done at no cost and we left after our jobs in San Antonio were complete which was not ever a problem for her because regardless she just kept saying she was trying to get everything doneSo we get there use her template for the faucet that she bought and drilled the holesWell now she doesn't like where the water falls in the sinkSo she goes a buys another faucet(which means another mile trip) well now her new faucet had different size holes than the original and she wants the holes fixedAt his point you are going to be messing with the integrity of the concrete especially at its smallest point so this is not something we were willing to do anymoreAnd advised her to best have the plumber come backWe did what she asked which was drill holes with the template for the original faucetWe went above and beyond for her and were paid upon completion of each jobNot upfront, so for her to come back now that she is mad because we are not answering our phones anymore because she bought a new faucet that we will not put in nor will we be told how some other contractor was going to do the jobWhen they never showed up and we drove miles back and forth over 10-times

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: The response from Mr*** is not correct in any way.He did do a rush job on the floors but the counters were a completely different job. We hired him after he showed me what he could do. He insisted on coming at night to do the countertops. When they finished the pour he asked me if I had anyone to do the road yet and told me I should hire him because his guys there were "expert" road builders and I would be very happy with the outcome. If I would hire them, they would stay overnight and build the road the next day. I asked him repeatedly about having the right equipment, especially the roller, and he assured me they would saying "shave our trailer here to pick up the equipment tomorrow". He told me the crushed limestone would be much more than I had paid before for it (half the road had already been completed by another contractor a year before) and I told him that was okay. He gave me a price for $for the crushed limestone and $for the labor. He asked me to write two checks out --one to him and to leave the other blank. I left early the next morning only to return after work to see his guys spreading caliche around with a skid loader that belonged to my fence installer. The guy doing the road told me that material was indeed crushed limestone and the red color would wash out. It was just a lie. The guy that was there called the person who delivered the material and had me speak to him. The material was supposed to come from "Martin Marietta" materials close to my house (I was very specific about that) but the guy said that Mr*** told him to get road base from La FLecha materials. I do not know who made the check out to La Flecha but I have the cancelled check that was originally given blank to Mr***. Mr***'s excuse as to not having the correct equipment was that he could not find a place to rent it in Laredo. If he would have called me I would have cancelled the job immediately and asked that my money be returned. The countertops were done very poorly. He will not answer his phone to come and repair them. He promised to come back to repair the holes for the faucet. Again, I had to pay someone to come and fix the holes for the faucets who confirmed that that they were put far too back from the sink (4"--standard is 2-1/2") and were not even put in a straight line. The workmanship for both the countertops and the roads is very very poor and Mr***'s response is simply not truthful. Shame on him. He has also refused to provide the information to the builder and the bank for the and that is why there was a delay in issuing the check. He was paid but neither the builder nor the bank has been given his information so they can file a 1099. My bank was concerned about issuing a check directly to Mr*** because he did not want the check made out to his company but to him personally. Out of good faith, we allowed it but it is just another sign of his poor business practices.

This is not a BOGUS complaint.  I never told this contractor that I had three builders walk off with my money as he claims.  I did unfortunately have  my original builder walk off and his company turned out to be a SCAM  for which the Revdex.com actually issued an alert.  I hired a second builder who did complete the build and that is the builder I was working with when this contractor was hired.  I have NEVER sued any builder—not the first one and of course not my current one.  This contractor is just fabricating this.  This contractor was paid half up front for the floors and then he insisted on being paid the other half before the builder had a chance to inspect the work.  This contractor was very upset so I paid him the other half in good faith and then recouped from the builder later.  When he returned to build the countertops the bank actually cut him a check in full for the price he quoted—that is why he was paid up front.  I received a call from the bank that he wanted the bank to take the name of his company off the check and make out the check to him personally.  The bank was concerned about this but he assured the bank and the builder  that he would provide information for the 1099 so the bank and I allowed it.  He never provided information for the 1099. I did hire him to install my cabinets.  He quoted me $1000.00 per day because of the drive.  They worked on the cabinets for 4 hours and I paid them in full.  They poured the countertops at night as I stated before.  He told me they had to cure before they were sealed.  Again, he was paid up front in full because the check was cut from the draw by  the bank. They did have to adjust the counters and the cabinets because they did not allow enough room for the range to fit but they were provided with the kitchen plans and the measurements before they undertook that task. It took numerous calls to get him back to seal the counters but the seal did not take in places where he made some decorations.  It took numerous texts and calls for him to return to finish.  I sent him pictures of the faucet holes that were too small and the additional holes in the counters themselves and he promised to repair them. His explanation of the road is completely fabricated.  He said the reason the material was so expensive was that the crushed limestone had gone up in price but I agreed to it so it would match the rest of the road. He also told me that he could only get five loads instead of the seven loads I thought I needed because of the price.  Again, he insisted on being paid up front to cover the cost of the materials and machines they would have to rent.  There is a receipt for the material that was singed for by his worker that was spreading the caliche.  He is telling an outright lie when he says that I was there when the material was delivered and on the property when it was put down.  I was at my office and can provide any and all necessary documentation as to the receipt of material and my whereabouts during that time.  It took me two days to get ahold of him after his “road” worker left.  He first told me that it was crushed limestone and that the “red” color would wash out with the first rain..  In his response, though, he is admitting he deliberately ordered road base.   After speaking with him, he told me he would work something out with me.  However, he never came to look at the road. It total, this contractor made seven trips to my location. Not “over 10-15 times.”  He came three times for the floor, three times for the cabinets and countertops—including having to come back to seal after the counters cured, and one time to look at the holes at which time he told me he did not have the right equipment and would have to come back during the week.  I never heard from him again. Thank you for your time to this very important matter.[redacted]

This entire complaint is bogus. This customer was a family friend and hired us in a panic because "she has had 3 builders walk off with her money" so she said. Well after rushing to help her and get the job done (needless to say she is in Laredo tx. and we are in San Antonio) we completed the job...

and were paid but had to be paid through the builder who she was in the process of suing. Once again so she said. So we get a check the was not cashable because the builders office manager and owner were unaccommodating obviously because we were doing there work now and because this lady was threatening a lawsuit. So we had to drive all over just to get paid on this job. Needless to say, we did get paid after every job we had done for herThen she hires us to install her cabinets which we advise her that our workers are not cabinet installers and we could not guarantee the exactness of the cabinets, she says no worries. And we install them. Then she begins to call repeatedly to come back because the cabinets were a1/4 of an inch off of her specs. Well once again we were driving 120 miles one way back and forth so at this point it would have to wait until we could get down there. Though she was a priority because of being a family friend and wanted to help her get her home completed.  "Since she couldn't get anyone else reputable out there" her words. So here we go back to Laredo get the cabinets adjusted and now she wants her custom concrete countertops. We do those for her which we do all the time residentially and commercially and get hers built and though she says they are crooked for some crazy reason she paid us. And then still goes on to hire us for two more jobs on her property. Paying upon completion of each jobWhen she hired us to build her a road she was told that the crushed limestone was going to be x amount of dollars and that wasn't anywhere close to what she wanted to pay so instead we advised her to go with the road base at a more reasonable cost that she was willing to spend. So she ordered the road base and paid for it herself, was on property when it was delivered and on property when it was put laid. She says she wanted it rolled down with a roller, but we also told her that was 1000 dollars a day to rent that machine and once again it was not something she was willing to pay for. So we finished laying the road base the way we always do and we got paid. Next she wanted the holes for the plumbing put into the countertops for the faucet. We advised her best to have the plumber do that when they are installing the faucet to it is to her specs. Well now the plumber doesn't want to touch the counters in fear he will mess them up and knowing this customer, he did not want to have to pay to have them replaced. Once again we go down there in the evening this time because this is being done at no cost and we left after our jobs in San Antonio  were complete which was not ever a problem for her because regardless she just kept saying she was trying to get everything done. So we get there use her template for the faucet that she bought and drilled the holes. Well now she doesn't like where the water falls in the sink. So she goes a buys another faucet(which means another 240 mile trip) well now her new faucet had different size holes than the original and she wants the holes fixed. At his point you are going to be messing with the integrity of the concrete especially at its smallest point so this is not something we were willing to do anymore. And advised her to best have the plumber come back. We did what she asked which was drill holes with the template for the original faucet. We went above and beyond for her and were paid upon completion of each job. Not upfront, so for her to come back now that she is mad because we are not answering our phones anymore because she bought a new faucet that we will not put in nor will we be told how some other contractor was going to do the job. When they never showed up and we drove 240 miles back and forth over 10-15 times.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because the complaint I submitted was factual and this business refuses to accept any responsibility for the shoddy work and the unfinished job.  This business took thousands of dollars from me up front and did not deliver the product or complete the job.  I do have all receipts and cancelled checks of monies that were paid and numerous text messages from the owner stating he would finish the job and resolve the issues from the road.  He is now denying any of this.  I will submit those to the Revdex.com as proof if needed.
Regards,
