StainPro Reviews (4)

StainPro sent a different company to my house. Company -Desert Dri Foam was the company sent to my house. I did not know this until the worker handed me a receipt for 129$ but if I paid cash for the job it was only 90$. I told him I had a Groupon and its already paid for. He said since there was dog pee on the carpet the charge was more.  Receipt I attached shows total of 129$ from Desert Dri Foam- different address, different phone number than Stainpro. Which kept my 35$ that I paid Groupon. If Stainpro and Desert dri foam are the same company, the worker did not know my address. He had NO CLUE. He never knew I even paid Groupon. StainPro kept my money and gave my personal information to another entity. My receipt and cell phone verified. There are more complaints on STAINPRO on the Revdex.com website. I do see they have taked the Revdex.com logo off their facebook page.I do not feel safe talking to STAINPRO as they have already giving my information to complete strangers. I do not want to deal with StainPro ever again as in good faith I paid this local business instead of a big chain only to be scammed.

The information provided by the customer is false. She allowed our technician into her home, allowed him to complete the job and even requested and paid for additional services beyond the Groupon that she purchased, which he completed the same day while in her home. Her Groupon was redeemed on the...

spot. Picture provided shows both the customers "redeemed" voucher on the day of service with our name, StainPro (left hand side) as well as her name clearly showing. We have also provided a photo showing "redeemed" on the same date from our Merchant prospective. The technician stated that the customer was very nice and happy with the service. It is unclear to why the customer has filed a complaint and/or grounds for the inaccurate accusations. We immediately attempted to contact the customer via phone, text as well as FaceBook, which is where she posted. We have been unsuccessful in getting a response from her. This customer has also posted personal information with what we consider to be a threat, online. The refund request would need to sent to Groupon, which is who she made payment to. As for the added services, we feel it would be unethical and unfair to request additional services, have said services completed satisfactorily and be content with said services and then complain and slander to get a refund. We are willing to negotiate, however, a refund of the portion paid directly to us. Please see attached photos and contact us with any further questions or actions needed to resolve this.

Re: Complaint [redacted]In regard to this complaint, the customer was informed of our availability as well as the availability stipulations set forth in the "fine print" section of the voucher that she purchased. The customer was also informed that we had not received/taken any form of payment...

from her and that she would need to contact Groupon to get a refund, as Groupon was the company that she paid and that retained said payment. Communication was clear and consistent with customer. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or for further information, at any time.Thank you. Dean L[redacted]

Review: Mr [redacted] has cleaned my carpets in the past. I mentioned that I wanted to replace flooring and other handy work and he stated he could do all my projects and could have it done in a few days. This was in the beginning of March 2013. Mr [redacted] replaced a light in my kitchen and you clearly see the tape and bad paint job. Photos are available. Mr [redacted] provided in writing that he would paint all door and trim which he refused to do and he installed laminate floors which has flaws. Mr [redacted] provided me with three different invoices all with different prices. When I mentioned to Mr [redacted] the different invoices and that according to one invoice he states that I overpaid $ 375.00 and that he would refund in payments. Needless to say that no money has been refunded . I paid for the toilet and was to replace it but he was working out of town so I paid [redacted] over $ 300 to replace toilet which had been leaking since March and repair a leak in disposal that Mr. [redacted] installed. I had company coming in to town and needed the invoice work to finally be completed. Since he did not measure the space for the toilet there is less than a inch of room to close the door. Mr [redacted] continually left the house and garage areas in such a mess that I had to pay someone to clean up since I am disabled and feared falling or tripping on the wood and tile left in numerous places.. I have continually asked Mr [redacted] for my $ 375.00 but he has refused to refund what he put in writing. My experience with Mr [redacted] has been a constant battle to complete the work started in March. I sent texts to him showing the poor quality work and told him that if he refunded my money in June that I would hire someone else to finish and fix his work. Mr [redacted] took advantage of my generosity, paying him in advance for all the work, buying lunches etc. Mr [redacted] took advantage of me being a female and my kindness and needs to stick to carpet cleaning and honoring his invoices. sDesired Settlement: I want my money back for the overpayment and work not completed. Doors and trim need to be painted and I was charged $ 400 for trim and doors painted and since only a portion of that work was done I believe that I am owed 1/2 of the $ 400 for work not completed. I am requesting a refund of $ 575.00 for work paid for am not done and the $ 375.00 that Mr [redacted] stated in writing that I am owed. I advised Mr [redacted] several times that if he did not comply with my requests since March that I would file the necessary complaints against him and will file a small claims court complaint and would seek the fullest amount allowed by law for all the stress and sickness due to Mr Lyttle. and his inability to stand by his invoice.

Response:

In response to complaint number [redacted] StainPro would like to start off by addressing the accuracy of pertinent details referenced as part of our resolution. Also, Ms. [redacted] was informed at job completion that a refund for $375 would be processed. Should she have asked for a refund for the painting of the trim, we certainly would have discussed it on the spot. As customer satisfaction is and always has been our mission. However, it was never mentioned and we parted ways upon completion with Ms. [redacted] claiming she was happy/satisfied with the job. Ms. [redacted], is fully aware of the terms and issues on her behalf, not addressed in this complaint. StainPro made many attempts to complete contracted projects within her home, prior to final completion of contracted work. Appointments were constantly rescheduled and/or cancelled on her behalf. Ms. [redacted] cancelled all work at one point, only to change her mind almost a week later and ask that we complete the work. Some projects in question do not all pertain to our company, such as the ceiling texture work at kitchen light. Ms. [redacted] was told and fully aware that she would need to have a professional complete the texture work and that our cosmetic “Band-Aid”, was simply that until she could have it done by a professional, contracted on her own. She was not charged for this. Trim painting was never refused on our behalf, less than 10% off the total trim was not painted by StainPro at the request of Ms. [redacted], stating that she would paint it herself, as she did not want the furniture moved. Toilet installation is not a valid part of the dispute. The only accurate reference pertaining to the toilet, would be that as a favor to Ms. [redacted], we did pick up the toilet for her from the store and deliver it to her home, but she was told that it would not be installed by us. She was never charged for pick up/delivery of the toilet. As agreed in June, a refund of $375 is currently being processed. We will also refund part of the cost for trim painting. The $400 mentioned, also included the cost to install a ceiling fan. Therefore, we will refund the cost of half of the trim painting (as an attempt to resolve, not in agreement that only half was completed) minus the cost of the ceiling fan installation. Trim painting total refund would be $165. The folded boxes that Ms. [redacted] had someone remove from her garage, which should also be noted was done before job completion, were kept in order to return excess unneeded wood/tile. Also not mentioned in the complaint, left over wood and tile was returned to the store as a courtesy for Ms. [redacted], at no charge. We had to wrap these items in duct tape to return them, since she disposed of the saved boxes. Again, in keeping with our company standards, we are offering $35 for the removal of the boxes, Ms. [redacted] had prematurely removed. In response to Ms. [redacted]’s comments, favors were done by both parties and are not pertinent to strengthen the debate for either side. Having said this, and in keeping with our mission to insure customer satisfaction we are more than happy to refund Ms. [redacted]. Total refund for resolution:

$375.50 – previously agreed upon

$165 – Half of trim painting minus ceiling fan installation

$35 – Removal of remnants

For a total refund of: $575.50
