We stand by our responseNothing can be done unless the customer has roof line on same level

Customer has been contacted and job has been scheduledWe are behind on installs because of the weather

We are sorry for the DelayThe year started out with record rain fall, and snow storms through AprilThe weather did put us behind and scheduling weeks out would result in repeated reschedulingFor that reason we were only scheduling week outAfter the ***'s called in we had on schedule and installed within a weekThis is outside work and is hampered by weather that we can not control. Thank you,Jim D***

This system was installed years agoWe have a signed completion form that the job was done and customer was satisfiedThe Customers roof line is uneven and has connecting gutters in this areaWe installed a diverter to distribute the water more to other side like the Customer wantedThe issue
should be resolved in regards to the outcome the Customer wantedThe Customer is not happy with the solution, but nothing can be done unless the Customer has the roof re-designed so that the gutter can be adjusted (see attachment).Thank You.John C***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Where to begin? It is as if the company did not read
the complaintThe installation was completed at night, with our flood lights
on so the workers could finish the jobI signed the acceptance, assuming the
best from a "reputable" companyObviously, this was a mistake
Before these gutters were installed, there were regular gutters on the house
The runoff went to the two downspouts with no problemsYes, the rooflines are
uneven - one is a flat roof. It is surprising to me to hear that this
company is incapable of properly installing their premium gutters in such
circumstancesAnd, as indicated before, the diverter does not address nor
resolve the issue of too much runoff being sent to one downspout. The
diverter merely attempts to make some of the water flow uphillIt should be
common knowledge with a competent gutter company that water flows downhillThe
company used a photo we had provided to show the problem areaThe photo
clearly shows that the gutters slope upwards towards a downspout on the corner
of the house to the left.
In a text message exchange with Jim D***, it was
pointed out that the two roof lines meet at that corner, and we assumed that
the installers, working in near darkness, started at the regular roof end and
did not plan how they were to join the two roofs with proper water flowHis
response was "Prob right"I have attached two photos, one from the roof level and one from under the eavesBoth clearly show the gutters rise towards the one downspoutHad the installers started where the two roofs join, the gutter portion pictured here could have sloped up for some distance and then back down to the downspout at that corner of the house

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The apology is only half-hearted first off, and patronizing second. I am fully aware that gutters can't be installed in bad weather conditions, however, that wasn't the issue. It was the complete lack of communication for 2 months while the company sat on my deposit that was upsetting, and the fact they didn't contact me until AFTER I filed this complaint. That said, now that the job was completed, I have even more complaints. First, they sent one guy to cover the entire house. This resulted in him having to toss the old gutters all about the yard with no regard for how that could impact it. It also created a lot of unnecessary noise, which is great when I have an infant child at home. However, the worst part of it was going to mow the day after and finding several metal gutter brackets and nails strewn about the yard. Thankfully, I had caught these before running over them with my lawnmower, or else someone could have really been hurt. In addition to the scraps of metal left all of over the yard, there were also significant piles of gutter debris left all of the yard, which I had to go and clean up to prevent damage to my grass. Overall, all of these issues speak to the level of care this company shows for its customers. It was happy to come out and take my money, but the second it did, they couldn't have cared less. They refused to contact me for 2 months until I filed a Revdex.com complaint. They sent a single person to do the job and left a giant mess, and after all this, all they can say is "sorry". Its pathetic. People are paying them good money and they can't even be bothered to show the slightest bit of concern. Just browse the guest posting on their facebook page. They don't even bother to respond. They simply don't care about the consumer. Oh well, enjoy the bad reviews on public sites.

The install has only been scheduled because the company is holding my $2000 hostage, and won't cancel the contract. All the general manager could offer was apologies for not even bothering to call us to let us know that they were experiencing scheduling delays. Let it be known that the only reason the manager even bothered to call and get this scheduled is because I called the office several times and filed this complaint. If I hadn't, who knows how long GutterShutter would have held my deposit without any future contact. I understand that weather can delay installs. The absolute unprofessionalism in this company to take thousands of dollars from people and not even get them courtesy calls to let them know of delays is what appalls me, and that's not even mentioning how paper thin their excuse was. A few days later we hired a company to install a basement waterproofing system, a project that required them to dig an entire trench around our house and in our basement. I'm not exactly the handiest of men, but I am aware that is a far more labor intensive project than removing old gutters and replacing them, yet they were able to get it done within 2 weeks of signing. Even before they scheduled the install, the basement company gave me the courtesy of calling me to let me know the project supplies had arrived and apologize for weather delaying the install. I'm begrudgingly allowing the gutters to be installed only because this company would otherwise reward their bad behavior by keeping my money. I will be going to several other review sites and posting my story of this company's unprofessionalism.
