This customer brought in a Ford Coupe for a complete restorationThe paint and bodywork that had previously been done in was cracking,had rust issues and paint was blisteringI advised That the Car needed to be stripped of all paint and previous body work to get to where the trouble
with paint cracking and blisteringWe sent the car off per his approval to be Dustless Sand BlastedWhen the car returned I notified the customer Charlie *** to come see what the condition the actual car was in.He did make the trip over and saw that what he bought was a car that needed total restoredThat means completely taking the car apart down to a bare shellI told him at that time we would exceed hours and could possibly reach hoursHe agreed to this and I began working on his carAt that time he bought a custom front suspension which took hours to install due to front suspension had already changed and many problemsOnce a month I would Have Charlie come to the shop and go over progress and pay his invoice and disgust the projectHe could have pulled car out at any given timeHe chose to continue the projectThere was no promise day set due to severity of work needed to be done to carThe only truthful statement in his complaint was yes he did by all the parts including a $engine that he was supposed to be bringing me on the day he stated that he was coming to pick up a completed carInstead he pulled in with two trucks and two trailers to load the car, all the parts up as he was out of moneyI had over hours in the car at this time and discounted around to help him outHe always complained that his job was on shaky grounds and that he wasn't making the money that he was at the beginning of the projectMy reputation speaks for itselfI build cars and trucks from nothing and turn them into first class car show winners.I also have a policy in play where I punch in on a time clock and I send daily text messages and photos per everyday it's being worked onI have over photos of his car along with text messages and monthly invoicesIf Charlie was being honest in his complaint that no more than hours worth of work was done in the months it was here,Why didn't he pick it up long before he did?
