Review: Hello,

My name is [redacted] and I recently used Standard Caribbean Shipping, located in [redacted] to ship a barrel to [redacted] in Trinidad & Tobago. I left the barrel in their care on June [redacted] 2015. It was supposed to be shipped on June [redacted] 2015 and arrive on July [redacted] 2015.

According to them, their agent used for the shipping service was Tropical Shipping. There was some mix up and the barrel was sent to Guyana. Standard Caribbean Shipping said that the Guyanese government has to give permission to release it to be re-shipped back to Trinidad.

I am aware that customs will only get involved if there is some issue with the shipment, so I would like to know what is the hold up. There is no valid explanation as to why it is still in Guyana and has not been released. The total value of the contents and shipping total $824. which I am seeking to be refunded to me if no verifiable documents can be submitted to prove as such.

My children are currently in Trinidad on vacation, and the barrel was filled with clothing, food items, medical supplies, prescription glasses and other miscellaneous stuff needed for the duration of their trip. I cannot afford to re-purchase these items.

I paid for a service and it was not delivered as contracted. Therefore I am seeking an immediate refund for shipping and reimbursement for the items shipped.Desired Settlement: As a result of not having the items delivered by the stipulated time and since no one knows if or when the barrel, will be released and delivered, I am seeking refund for the cost of shipping, in addition to the cost of the items in the barrel. Total cost $824.00
