Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute I disagree with Standard Insurance's responses and again refer the Revdex.com to the Reply submitted on my behalf on February 16, I will be submitting a claim for diminished value in connection with my loss soon I sincerely hope that my experience resolving that claim with Standard Insurance is much better and one that does not require the necessity of the Revdex.com or a small claims court Regards, [redacted]

Standard Insurance AgencyApril 6, 2018Revdex.comRe: Subject: ***Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the inquiry submitted by Mr*** ***Mr*** complains that Standard Insurance (the "Company") improperly cancelled his automobile insurance policyA review of the
file indicates that the policy was properly cancelled because of material misrepresentations Mr*** made on his insurance policyTherefore, his complaint is unfounded.Mr*** applied for insurance with the Company on November 20, Texas law provides that an insurance company may cancel a policy within sixty days after a policy is bound if it is determined that an insured's application does not meet the Company's underwriting guidelinesWhen Mr*** applied for his insurance policy, he listed two drivers (himself and his fiancé, Ms*** ***)Mr*** stated on the application that he had not had any traffic tickets, accidents, or insurance claims in the last five yearsHowever, an underwriting review found that both Mr*** and Ms*** had multiple claims and accidents in the past five yearsSpecifically, Mr***'s underwriting review revealed a comprehensive claim made on June 2, 2016, another comprehensive claim made on September 13, 2016, an uninsured motorist claim made on May 1, 2017, and a property damage claim made on July 1, Ms***'s underwriting review revealed an additional three claims and accidents dated April 10, 2014, May 17, 2015, and June 22, 2015.Due to these multiple claims that were not disclosed on Mr***'s insurance application, his application did not meet the Company's underwriting guidelinesAs a result, a notice of cancellation was mailed to Mr*** on December 29, with an effective cancellation date of January 9, The cancellation was notice was mailed to Mr*** well within the mandated sixty-day underwriting period prescribed by the Texas Insurance Code, and Mr*** was given the required ten day notice of cancellation per Code requirementsOn January 4, 2018, Mr*** called the Company to ask about the reasons for the cancellation, and Company• Page April 6, 2018representative Austin Sleeper explained in detail the reasons for the Company's underwriting decision and cancellation of the policy. In Mr***'s complaint, he indicates that his desired settlement is "a full refund of $112." The Company assumes that this amount refers to the first monthly payment of $A refund of this amount would not be a fair or equitable resolution of the complaintFirst, the Company has received a chargeback dispute from Mastercard Merchant Services regarding Mr***'s paymentThis dispute was initiated by Mr***, who claimed that the charge was a 'fraudulent transaction" that he did not makeSecond, it should be noted that the Company did provide insurance coverage to Mr*** from the date of the application through the date of the underwriting cancellationTherefore, if Mr*** was due any sort of refund, it would only be for unearned premium as opposed to his entire payment amountThe total earned premium for the fifty days of coverage the Company provided to Mr*** totals $The total amount paid by Mr*** at the time of the application was $Therefore, even when this amount is added to the first monthly payment of $112.23, the total payments from Mr*** would still not satisfy the earned premium for the time period that the Company provided coverage to him.Thank you again for the opportunity to respond to this inquiryShould you have any questions or concerns with respect to this matter, or require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me at any time.Sincerely,

I disagree with Standard Insurance's responses and again refer the Revdex.com to the Reply submitted on my behalf on February 16, 2016.  I will be submitting a claim for diminished value in connection with my loss soon.  I sincerely hope that my experience resolving that claim with Standard Insurance is much better and one that does not require the necessity of the Revdex.com or a small claims court.
