Review: Spoke to a man from Standard Roofing Co. in November about a possible leak around a vent pipe on our roof. He asked if I would be home that Friday and I stated yes, he said someone would be by to take a look and give me an estimate. No one came that day. I called them back the following week but no one answered two phone calls so a finally just left a voicemail message to have them call me back. No one called me back so I sent them an email through their website to please call me back. No one returned my phone call.

Subsequently, I found another roofer who came out and performed the necessary repair.

On December 16th I received an invoice from Standard Roofing Co for a charge of $176.08 for work they state they completed on my roof on 11/21/13. I happened to be home for most of that day as I was babysitting a friend's child and only stepped out twice for 15 minutes each time to drop off and pick up my children from school. I find it hard to believe that anyone came out in those short spurts of time and did any work on my roof. Let alone unauthorized work.

When I called the company on 12/17/13 to discuss this issue he stated that I told him on the phone that I would allow them to do any "minor" repairs under $250 without them speaking to me. I informed him that was impossible as I would never agree to that and reminded him of our conversation when he said someone would drop my home on that Friday when I was home all day to give me an estimate, but never showed up. He stated "then take the bill off" and we will return when it is "warmer" to "take the repairs off."

I hope these people do not show up to my home ever as I fear they would do something disastrous to my roof.Desired Settlement: As he stated to me to "take the bill off" I assume that he knows I will not be paying him any sort of money and that he found that satisfactory.

I would like also confirmation that they will not be coming to my property as I do not believe they did any repairs to begin with and I fear they would do damage to my roof if they would return.

Yes, please file this as an official complaint on this company. I would like to have resolution in knowing they are not welcome on to my property to "remove " the repairs they say they made to my roof. I do not want them damaging my roof in any way as I do not believe they were here in the first place.

As the customer explained, she did speak to a man, the owner of Standard Roofing, and he did inform her the repairs would be taken care of immediately if the cost were under $250.00. We do not do estimates for work lower than that amount due to cost. The cost of labor and gas to go to a property twice for a $176.03 repair is not financially wise.
