hello, here are the phone docsI'm going through the remainder up to November to show how many times *** and I contacted Dr *** office. No incoming calls show in that Dr *** tried contacting *** prior to sending her bill to the Collection Agency after she paid the paymentI'm working on getting the check numbers for you, there have been so many written to this office and I work days a week in the Bay Area. I will get them with the remaining phone records. Please let me know what other documentation is needed ***

Either Mrs*** has a terrible memory, is incredibly disorganized,
or she is intentionally not telling the truthHere is what really happenedI have many printouts of her transaction history to email to you if you wish, but they are lengthy. All of our patients at their first visit sign a financial agreement advising them of our $monthly billing fee on past due accounts, our policy of $per missed appointment without hours advanced notice (we only charge after the second missed appointment), and that any collection fees will be added to the amounts past due before sending the account over to a collection agencyTwo family members came in for services in November of Mrs*** didn’t pay two $copayments at the time services were renderedWe sent her a billing statement for months, to which she never respondedWe called her numerous times to ask for payment and she either didn’t answer the phone, or she promised to come in to pay but she never didI finally wrote off the $balance WITHOUT sending her to collections. Her daughter, ***, then missed an appointment in December of 2013, and we allowed her this one grace period without charging herShe then missed her CONFIRMED appointment in October of They were well aware of our policy, and we sent them statements for the $fee for monthsAfter numerous phone calls and us explaining that the fee needs to be paid, and explaining that we really prefer not to send them to collections, the $was paid in May of 2016. Two weeks later, the check was returned to us as insufficient fundsAs also stated in our patient agreement, we charge $for all returned and unpaid checksAgain, and again, and again, we sent them statements and made numerous attempts to contact them by phone before sending them to collectionsI even tried called *** myself times within the weeks before we sent her to collections but she didn’t answer and her phone was not accepting messagesMy office manager and I have wasted way more time than we should have on trying to collect what is rightfully owed to us, we simply couldn’t spend any more dealing with them and I’m hoping this is the last of itWe had exhausted all efforts, and then some. So, everything she says in her complaint is not trueShe didn’t pay the bill times and send “numerous payments,” the appointment WAS confirmed, we talked to her every time she called to resolve the situation amicably and to preserve the relationship, she DID receive months worth of bills, and if she didn’t reach us on the phone were “days,” it must have been over the weekend when we are closed*** did finally pay the $fee in June of but we are still owed the NSF fees plus billing feesI have graciously written off enough of their fees but I simply cannot do this foreverAs much as I hate to lose a patient and regret sending anyone to collections, it had to be done in this caseMrs*** left us no other choice Sincerely, *** *** **
