Revdex.com spoke with *** from the company and she that the problem is with ***They had an internal problem about a year ago and this could be something that is involved with thatThey never received the money so they have no
money to give back to the consumer and that they would need to work with the bank

The Sand & Refinish process is
virtually dust free. We were notified by customer and crew that there was a
clog in one of the sanders and it was explained to [redacted] that we would
not leave her house dusty and would take care of everything, we also apologized
for...

any inconvenience. The customer had stated a week or so prior to the start
of job that she would like a darker stain from those on color chart. I
explained to [redacted] that those were the only colors that were available
without special ordering a darker color for an additional charge to her. I also
let her know we could return her deposit to her if she wanted to try to find
another company that might be able to find the exact color she was interested
in, she decided she wanted us to do the job and chose [redacted] as the stain
color. At the start of the job the customer signed a waiver that stain color
can vary a little from color chart to actual floor due to type of wood and
grain. The second day the crew started applying the stain, the customer got
upset and was not happy with the way the stain looked, The crew tried to
explain to customer that they had just started once the stain and finish were
applied it would look completely different, which would have taken care of any
drip marks as well. At that time the customer told crew to leave the home, so
the crew packed up their equipment and left.
When I spoke to customer on the
phone I explained to her that I wasn’t able to send anyone else out to finish
job because that was the only crew that did sand & refinish jobs and she
didn’t want them back out. I also tried to explain to her that the crew was not
finished with the flooring and she wasn’t seeing the finished product. After
receiving that call, I had not heard anything else from the customer. [redacted] called in and left a message for me on July 28th I called
her back, and offered to return the $350.00 deposit. The deposit was returned
to [redacted] and I haven’t heard anything from her since.

Review: I contacted Stanley Steemer to clean the carpet in my residence. Stanley Steemer arrived with 2 workers that only informed me that the carpet was to damp to be cleaned and all they could do for me was to pull the edge of the carpet back to allow it to air dry. They did not provide any type of service and it only took them about 5 minutes to arrive to that conclusion. I was charged $100 and was not provided a service other than 2 workers showing up and informing me something that I already was aware of that the carpet was damp.

When I made the appointment I made it clear over the phone that the carpet was wet/damp and they said that they could still clean the carpet and that is why I agreed to conduct business with Stanley Steemer. It is unethical for business that state that they can provide a service and then have their workers state that they can not provide that service. I was charged for a "service call" only to be informed that they can't provide the service that I hired them for.Desired Settlement: I would like to get a refund from Stanley Steemer for not providing the service that was advertised over the phone when I made the appointment.

Review: Stanley steemer and their credit card processor took money from my account on a forced payment based on an authorization code from June 26, 2013. The last service and payment to stanely steemer was in June 2013 and services were paid in full. Stanley steemer and [redacted] admit to taking money in error and promised to refund my money in two days, however, Friday July 18 will be 5 days and now they are telling me it will take seven days or longer. this is unacceptable, this was an admitted error on their part in which they fraudulently took money from my account with no notice or service and now they are dragging their feet to refund my money. I have in writing from Stanley steemer acknowledging no service since June 2013 and a letter acknowledging the mistake, however, nothing is being done. I have bills to pay and had to transfer money from my savings to cover the lost amount, I am losing interest on this money as I have an interest bearing checking account and I am losing from my savings account since I had to take money out of that account to cover my bills. I have filed complaints with my bank, the home office of Stanley steemer and [redacted]. Stanley and chase have not returned my calls. they are avoiding the issue. I was also told today by [redacted] supervisor [redacted] that the "internal error" affected over 50 thousand people, however, I have not seen any reporting on the news or anywhere that this happened and if so why has this not been taken care of quicker. Please help me.Desired Settlement: I would like my refund ASAP, it has been a week and at this point pay lost interest charges.

Review: Stanley Steamer of Fredericksburg VA, was hired to strip and stain my floors. The lead technician immediately complained that the job was under priced. I thought that was very unprofessional for him to make that comment not once but several times. This was supposed to be a low dust process, so they did not seal off the areas not being sanded or cover the areas where the sanding took place. There was a backup problem with the machine which caused dust to completely cover my everything in area to include furniture, windows air vents etc. and left a bid mess. Second day started the applying stain with the sander and left swirl patterns and there were several dark drip marks. I complained the Technician became disrespectful and I asked him to leave my home. I later discovered damage to cabinet, refrigerator and front entrance where stain was left.Desired Settlement: I contacted Stanley Steamer [redacted] and informed her of the disrespectful behavior of the Stanley Steamer tech. I asked for a supervisor to come out and inspect the work and her reply was "I'm very sorry for what has happened to you, but no one will be coming, the technician is the owners husband...this is a family owned business". I stated I wanted my deposit of $350.00 returned. I have not heard from them since.
