The first time I took my car there they were fair, and even washed my car for me. These last two times they have over charged me in addition to not washing my car and taking days longer to complete the repairs then what they originally told me. As if this was not enough a few months ago I was given an estimate of $265.00 to replace an oxygen sensor, I dropped my car off yesterday morning and today when they called me to tell me how much it would be I was told it would be $350.00! Curious as to why the price was now raised by nearly $100.00 I was told it was because they had to reset the PCM codes which is a normal part of the procedure any time you replace an oxygen sensor for my vehicle. Taking the car to another shop wasn't an option as they threatened to charge me $100.00 for the diagnostic which they already performed when I got the first estimate. After succumbing to their threat I paid them the $350.00 they wanted from me. I reviewed the invoice once I got home and called around just to see how else they may have robbed me. I used the part number listed on the invoice and found it at Autozone for $117.00 including tax, Stanley's charged me 199.00 NOT including tax! Now I will say that the lead mechanic there knows what he's doing, but the owner is misleading and lying to his customers to attain a higher profit. I WILL NEVER GO TO STANLEY'S SERVICE CENTER EVER AGAIN! I hope the extra money they took from me was worth it!
