Stan's Automatic Service Reviews (3)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
There was no screaming or yelling.  I would like to have a copy of that security tape to see where there was yelling.  When I inquired with the dealer about payment he advised me he paid for nothing.  Therefore had no receipt to give me since he was not billed either.  I went over all the issues with [redacted] when we drove the car together.  Maybe he should have wrote everything down, instead of repeating to me I have a good car.  When speaking with [redacted] after the first drop off he would not let me finish a sentence or ask questions.  I put him on speaker and had a friend listen in.  Also I was advised that a part needed to be ordered not one that was sitting on the shelf.  If that was the case that work should have been completed that day if parts were available, instead of me having to bring the car back a second time.  At no point was a warranty discussed any further besides that it was covered.  All I received was yes it was covered.  So if the factory warranty covered it then I should still have been provided with a receipt.  I do not believe or trust work was done.  [redacted] nor the front desk mentioned anything else about coverage.   I took the van to another garage and they found the back brakes needed replaced, the rotors needed cut, and there was also a leak from my oil gasket.  Which I was advised that it most likely would have never passed inspection.  So on top of the problems [redacted] claimed to have fixed there were more.  It was over $400 in work that needed to be done.  The dealership paid for it and I was still provided with a receipt of my own of what work was done on my car without having to pay for it.  If [redacted] billed any warranty company it should be investigated.  Without a receipt of what was done I can't look further into what actually was completed and who paid/covered it.
Regards,

Review: what can I prove, brake work for inspection chraged for not completedfound through another mechanic shop work was not performed on drivers side.when ilost brakes 2 months later.many other issues involving 2 vehiclesDesired Settlement: reinbust for work perfomed by another shop

Review: I purchased a used 2004 Dodge Caravan on 8/29/14. The inspection was done 8/14. I brought the vehicle in to the place that had done the inspection because there were some issues with possibly the power steering, transmission, and minor work. I drove with [redacted] the manager he was unable to hear the noises except for when the van was put into reverse the muffler was rattling. He said make an appointment and he will fix that and while it was up look at possibly any other issue that was discussed. I brought the van in on 9/17 for my appointment. They claimed that the reverse issue was fixed but now they had to replace the rear mount and I needed to reschedule once the part came in. I inquired if the parts and labor were covered under warranty, [redacted] and the woman at the front desk assured me it was. I brought the car in a third time on 9/26 to have the rear mount fixed. They claim to have fixed the issue. The car still is making the same noises and driving the same. Now part of my dashboard will not light up and there are scratches on the front that weren't there before I dropped it off. The reverse still rattles when backing up. I went in on 10/1 to ask for an invoice of what had been done for my personal records. He refused to give one to me saying that my warranty didn't cover it and [redacted] from [redacted] where the vehicle was purchased paid for it. Saying I had no right to a itemized record of what was done with my car. He can only give that to the person who pays. Even though the car is in my name and has nothing to do with [redacted]. I still asked for the itemized record. He told me to have a nice day and walked away. I spoke with my warranty company no claim was ever opened. I spoke with [redacted] and [redacted] claims he did not pay for anything having to do with my van. I spoke again with [redacted] from Stan's Transmission and he said that [redacted] hasn't been billed yet. No one made me aware before the "work" was done that the warranty didn't cover it. They wasted 3 days doing no workDesired Settlement: To have my transmission fixed and any other issues taken care of free of charge. I will have it diagnosed and fixed at a more trusted auto garage and them to foot the bill.

Case# [redacted]

First of all the customer not once ever told us anything about scratches on her hood and dash lights not working, it would have been addressed. When the customer inquired about repairs being covered under warranty we responded yes, the dealers warranty not the extended warranty. The customer has an Extended Care Penn Warranty for the powertrain only, nothing she complained about is a power train issue hence no claim was ever filed, the dealer ok the installation of 1 good used mount we had on our shelf. The customer also kept screaming and yelling about wanting the receipt for the repairs to her car. I told her she would need to retrieve the copy of ay and all bills from the selling dealer because she was billed for nothing, I can not give the customer a copy of the dealers invoice, she must retain a copy from the dealer. As she continued to scream and complain I asked her to leave. The entire conversation was recorded on our office surveillance cameras in case there is any more false accusations made.
