: I *** met with and signed a contract Stan's Paving on April 2, 2018 to remove and replace my driveway. On May 25th 2018, New England Paving showed up at my home and began removing the asphalt driveway and when questioned why they were here, the response was that I have to call Stan's paving. When I called Stan' Paving Stan's Paving told me that they were renting their trucks. When I questioned the practice of renting their trucks and that the contract was with Stan's Paving and that's who I expected to be doing the work. The response was" it is what it is".
I also explained to Stan's paving about the damage to the flower beds by paving over the flowers along the walkway and the response was (sorry about your flowers). They accepted no responsibility for the damage to the flowers . In my garage the paving company put a compacting machine and when not in use ( the compactor Leaked/Spilled a large amount of oil mixed with gasoline a hazard) that stain still remains. The company new England paving didn't have a copy of the contract so they didn't know what Stan's paving agreed to. I showed them my copy and explained that this is what I expect and it was completely ignored and they did what they wanted to do.
This I consider to be a Breach of Contract of Stan's Paving
Contract Specs:
This Price Includes: Price $4000.00
3 1/2" of Asphalt, Fine Grading, Dig Out, Power Rolled, Machine Laid, 1 1/2" Finish, 2" Binder, 6-8" of Gravel
The Contract States the Following:
Remove old asphalt and loam in new area. Then put 8" of gravel fine grade and compact. Then put 2" Base Coat , 1 1/2 inches Top Coat. Machine Laid. Power Rolled.
Resolution Request: 1. Stan's paving remove the driveway work that has been done by another company and complete it to the specifications stated on contract. 2. Stan's paving return 1/2 of the contract price ($1999.00) and put the finish coat on the driveway.

He was mad about that there's nothing wrong with the job
All I daid was the town took a long time to get permit and start to talk about something else we did not know that asphalt was was under grass there is no complaint we're really busy and sometimes rent trucks we left the job guy was happy we guarantee all our work and have no complaints so if there is I'll come down myself

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This whole Job Was a Breech of Contract.
First of all the Company is still not answering the question why Stan's Paving did not do the work they were contracted for and why it was given to another company. Second, They still do not Accept any responsibility for the damage to the lawn in front of my house and the flower gardens. Along with the hazardous spill still in my garage.
If they run such a great company and guarantee their work as stated in the companies response and are willing to do whatever I the customer wants , then I am requesting the following as stated in the original complaint.
(1.) I am requesting the return 1/2 of the contract price of $1999.00.
(2.) The repair the lawn area damage out front of my house.
(3) The finish coat be applied to the driveway.
(As the driveway has areas where water in the winter will freeze and cause failure). This is why the finish coat is necessary.
The finish was installed and we would like to go over the job Monday afternoon 6 18 18
