My experience with Stanton Optical:
I had chosen Stanton because I had recalled my son having a relatively good experience with the business in the past at a reasonable rate, not my experience
I visited Stanton Optical on Monroe street in Toledo, Ohio in November of 2014, once I had chosen the set of frames I wanted I spoke with one of the sales agents, who then quoted me better than $for a single pair of glasses (by one get one free) I explained I would like to have the warranty on my glasses be no fault for one year rather than their standard of year lenses, year frames, which was going to be includedI promptly left the store thanking the sales person for their timeI was contacted later that evening (approx.) minutes later by the sales person informing me I had left so abruptly that he didn't get to speak with his manager to get approval for a "managers discount" - I was then informed I could have both sets of glasses for $or a single set for around $235, or there about - a 50% discount for what, why was this not the original deal? Next issue; after I placed the order for a single set of glasses (lenses had the works) I went weeks later to collect my new glasses I wore then for about a week and noticed they weren't anti reflective and no transitionI visited the store to which insisted they were both until they put them under the UV lamp to find they weren't and then looked at my order to find the lenses were ordered with standard lenses but I was charged for bi-focal, transition, scratch resist coating, anit-reflectiveAfter another weeks I finally called corp headquarters to express my displeasure with the stores customer serviceThe next day I was contacted by the store to come in and pick a free set of frames to put my lenses in as the service had been extremely pooryear passes, my frames brokeI visited Stanton to see if they could help me with a temporary fix for my frames, and was greeted with "sure, come on in lets get a new pair ordered." I explained to the rep I only need a fix until my eye appointment in three weeksThe response - "oh we can't do anything for that." I then went down the street to their competitor Eye Glass World, who I had dealt with in the past, posed the same question and same scenario, and the response was let me see what I can do for youthe tech returned with a temp fix for my glasses and told me to return to the store if I needed him to fix them againThanks you Eye Glass World!! I recommend staying away form Stanton Optical
