Stapley Action Garage Door Reviews (%countItem)

I filed a complaint earlier today regarding this company. About 5 minutes after filing my complaint, Mickey from Stapley Garage Door called to say they had decided to deduct the $200.00 from the unneeded track wheels if we would buy another part. We were told before that we would need a new logic board and the cost was $200. I told Mickey I would call her back after I thought about it. When I returned the call I was told that suddenly we needed an entire new motor. I said that my understanding was that we could just apply the $200 refund to cover the new logic board. I was then told that we would need an entire new motor which cost $480 (minus the $200). I am wondering why without coming out again and inspecting, it seems strange that all of a sudden we need a new motor. I feel we were truly jerked around.

Mr. called and scheduled a repair his garage door was not fully opening. This was an intermittent problem; it was not happening with every cycle. Tech could not get the issue to replicate. He did adjust the up force on the garage door. Ran the door several times without an issue. Due to the age of the opener suggested an opener replacement, in addition he suggested they change the plastic rollers to nylon closed bearing rollers, if not now possibly in the future. The technician emailed their options. The *** chose to replace rollers in addition to having it serviced and had our technician install them. The same day, the door gave them the same issue. With the customer not wanting to replace the opener, we did suggest the intermittent issue with the up force could be a result of the logic board. After several calls back and forth we determined a new motor would best solve their long term issue and offered to apply the 100% of the cost of rollers toward a new operator, but the *** did not want to move forward at that time. We will honor our offer for 30 days.

The technician did not email anything to us. He told us in the garage that we would eventually need the new rollers and said that if we did it at another time, we would have to pay an additional $79. We opted at that time to get the rollers since we thought the door was fixed. The company kept changing what new parts we needed and we felt we were getting the run-around. At no time did we receive any email from them. We do not want to do any more business with this company. Why should we put good money after bad? We do not feel that the technician knew what he was doing and was just picking and choosing the solutions.

We have a very sophisticated software system that tracks all the phone calls back and forth and it tracks appointments and emails. We did send Dave back by on the 30th but you refused to let him in. YES we did email an estimate AND it was opened. But in an effort to resolve this issue we will send a check to you for the rollers, I do have to wait for my accountant to return from vacation. Therefore it will be sometime AFTER August 26th.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. However, the person named Dave DID indeed come into our home, walked through the living room and exited out the laundry room and walked into the garage where he pulled the cord that allowed the garage door to be manually opened. He left in a huff when we told him that we did not want to pay any additional money to the company. We just wanted our $200 back since the door did not work after the repairman left. To this day, the door still only works intermittently.

Regards
