Review: I purchased the car from Star Chrysler on 1/**, it was a town n country van, I explained to the sales person I needed a transfer of registration from my 2014 Chrysler to my 2016 Chrysler, I was told no problem everything will be done. It's 3/* already my temp plate has expired, when I call, email, txt the dealer I get no answers, this is crazy, this is my 3rd Chrysler and I have never had such horrible experience. I don't understand why it's taking so long to get it done and why no one from the dealership is able to call me back.Desired Settlement: I want my new registration,

Review: On Thursday March [redacted], 2014 my husband and I went to the dealership to finalized a lease agreement we previously made with the company. The sticker price on the vehicle was $ 28,335 less trade of 4,000= 24,335 plus taxes, fees etc..... (monthly payment 295.00. I glanced at the numbers prior to signing the agreement and all looked well. My husband was outside trying to hand over the used vehicle we were trying to trade. The next day my husband decided to look over all the paperwork before filing away. Upon checking he discovered a discrepancy where the sticker price read **, 869.59 (an overage of $534.58 plus taxes etc). Also the final lease amount came out to be $298.00 instead of $295.00 (which is an extra 36.00 per year and raised the issue with the [redacted]. We went back to the dealership on 3/**/14 to get an explanation of the sticker price variance and "[redacted]" the [redacted]was a little loud with us. He claims that is how he speak. We left as the children were with us and planned to return another day. Today, I am at work (3/**) and my husband tried to stop by on his way from work (he worked in the area today). He saw [redacted] and requested an explanation. [redacted] became very "abusive" and using foul language after he couldn't provide a reasonable explanation.he said focus on the lease payements not the sticker price. Feeling like we've been cheated, my husband mentioned that he will take the case up to the Queens DA office as they should have explained what they were doing prior to finalizing the deal. All in all, we are trying to get a fair explanation as to why the sticker price was over the amount that was on the vehicle? why did the dealership faxed over that value ([redacted]) instead of 28869.59 to our insurance carrier? This is our first time in a lease for a vehicle for the family and we're very unhappy with the explanations and the lack of courtesy that has been extended to us in helping us resolve this amicably. We hope to avoid this dealership in the future.Desired Settlement: Provide an explanation that's logical or provide a refund!

Review: I purchased this vehicle by a sales rep representative in which at the time told me the truck was in fact a 2013 Dodge Durango R/T, I was interested in purchasing this truck being that I had a baby on the way and so I went forth and traded in my 2007 Audi A4 that was handled and given to them in beautiful condition. From the moment I drove this truck off the dealers lot it has caused me nothing but stress and the same problem continuously over and over repeatedly. I have paper work backing up this statement from [redacted] as the truck never was in fact a 2013 it is a 2012. The owner and everyone below him mistreated me in every way imaginable and This truck is certainly unsafe and a lemon.Desired Settlement: My [redacted] and I think that best route to take would be a complete refund as this dealership are a bunch of crooks and never tried to help once instead they a rue and charge more money to fix issues that are yet again in the lemon law and it's extremely upsetting causing me and [redacted] to have extreme anxiety along with ulcers and we ae very heartbroken as we thought we were purchasing a very safe and nice vehicle meanwhile it turned out to be the complete opposite.

Do not go here!! save youself a huge headache go anywhere else, false advertising , hard sales people and decietful business practices

Review: To Whom It May Concern,

In December of 2013, I wanted to trade in my vehicle (a front wheel drive) Jeep compass, for a vehicle that could be better equipped for in climate weather. So I returned to the dealership where I purchased the Jeep Compass to do a trade in. I was shown a fully loaded vehicle, the Jeep Cherokee Limited. Now in conducting the trade in, the must haves, which I continually stipulated had to be included in the price was an automatic starter and a low jack system and it have 4 wheel drive (4x4). Now for the past month I have been going back and forth with the dealership because they included the price of the two must haves but refuse to install them.

Due to finance issues I was not able to afford the Jeep limited model vehicle, so I was shown a Jeep Cherokee Latitude which is the next level down in which I qualified for. I again, stipulated that the vehicle had to have 4 wheel drive, have the automatic starter and the low jack system installed. I was asked by the sales rep where there any other details that I wanted, I asked that the vehicle be black. I had been contacted by the dealership toward the middle of December to look at the car they had for me, and to sign the paperwork. I was never shown a vehicle; my son had noticed that the car specs were off, the invoice that the vehicle they were going to show me was a front wheel drive. I explained to them that I could not have a front wheel drive and that I had specified that the vehicle have 4 wheel drive. I was told by the dealership [redacted] that there was a mix up made by the sales representative I was working with. He made a mistake, but I was told that I had to take what they had (which were three vehicles) none in the color I asked and none had the specifications I had asked for. Since, I am spending my hard earned money I want what I’d be paying for. The [redacted] states that I can take what they have or nothing. My son, knowing the basics of a legally binding contract (which is an offer and acceptance) made them aware that they were in breach. Frustrated, I and my son walked out of the dealership. Several days later I get a call from the dealership telling me to come in they have a car for me. I and my son go back to the dealership to take a look at what they had. I again, asked about the car starter and the low jack system, I was told it was worked into the price and that I had to come back to have it installed. I agreed. While waiting for the finalization of all the paperwork the dealership [redacted] stated to my son and I that there was an extra add- on in the vehicle, but it was no additional cost to me, and something they gave me which was a touch screen display in the center console.

Now for the past month I have set up appointments to have the automatic starter and the low jack systems installed, and have been given nothing but the run around. They state that because they installed the add-on, which I did not ask for, that took the place for the cost of the automatic starter and low jack system in the vehicle. Again, I did not ask for that feature, but because I was told that it was included at no additional cost to me, they want me to spend more money to have those items installed. I feel that the two items that I specified in the beginning of this transaction be included, which I still do not have, be included especially since I had them work the numbers to include them and am paying for. They again have managed to breach the contract and have justified it by stating they gave me something that I hadn’t asked for.Desired Settlement: I would like for the automatic car starter and the Intercept (low jack ) tracking system installed, as promised and stipulated.

Review: I understood that my role was to be a co-signer. After signing the fact is the "X" was the line of the buyer.I was made to understand that in six months with the repair of the credit of the third party, I would no longer be responsible for the vehicle in any/all matters. The third party has made no attempt to repair their credit. Request that another co-signer be found go unheeded. The letter and intent of this contract have not be honored. It is not legal/void.Desired Settlement: The account be closed and deemed satisfied for credit reporting issues. The plates be turned over the D M V .All responsibilities regarding this vehicle, i.e....title, tags registration, safety, and insurance etc.... no longer be my burden to bear.I do not want to take possession of the vehicle.

Review: I leaased a new car on 3/**/2015 (2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited) and discovered within a few days that the drivers door, gas cap door & front and rear bumbers were a different shade of color. The door's weather stripping wasnt installed properly. The car 's factory paint was altered and the repainted. The car inspected by a 3rd party who confirmed that the components were repainted. The Star dealership denies painting the vehicle and claims that the factory did and put in a warranty claim with corporate headquarters which approved another repaint. This is a $41,000 which I paid to recieve a NEW car not a refurbished car. I missed multiple days of work and no one is helping. I saved up this money to get this vehicle and havent enjoyed it all since in my possesssion. The [redacted] themselves said I should recieve a new vehicle since it only requites an VIN swap. This is poor business practice claiming to sell a new car that was visibly altered and the only resolution to offer it to be repainted again. I reported this immediately and been getting the runaround for over a month now. This is consumer fraud which no one is taking ownership to rectify.Desired Settlement: Full refund of my $3000 downpayment, montly payment & termination of the 39 month lease immediately.

The business has responded. Please see below: [redacted] has paint concerns on his new Jeep vehicle. [redacted] of this vehicle has offered to paint the effect areas of his Jeep. At this point [redacted] is not satisfied with that offer. As the seller of the vehicle, Star Chrysler, we are working closely with the [redacted] to come to a acceptable conclusion to [redacted]'s concerns.

Review: I purchased a Jeep Wrangler which I loved however the ride was not good for my girlfriend who had just had neck surgery and is recovering. As such I had made the decision to trade it in for another vehicle until she was fully recovered. I had contacted the original dealer Bengal Motors and worked out a deal, however, I was in Queens Tuesday and just stopped in at Star Motors in Jamaica NY as I had seen the dealership and figured dealers were mostly the same in terms of price and service as I do not have much experience as the wrangler was first new car I purchased. I walked in and [redacted] a salesperson said he could meet or beat the deal I had already worked out. I explained the importance and reason why I was trading in my newly purchased wrangler which I had already invested over $4000 in upgrades into. He stated that Star had the same vehicle except white though it did not have a sunroof one would be installed as well only other difference was size of lcd screen but they would take $50 off the down payment which he requested as a tip. I agreed as I did not know at that time that he was leasing me a lower model Grand Cherokee. No mention was made after that as to the other requested amenities i.e.: a heated seat which was one of the major items requested as she needed such for her back and neck that had just had surgery on. The only reason I was trading in the Wrangler was due to the rough ride and my girlfriend of over 8 years had recent back and neck surgery and it was not fit to take her to appointments I had been using a neighbors vehicle until she healed. This proved inconvenient and I decided to trade it in begrudgingly. However, I put my trust in this shady salesman [redacted] even though I had already worked out a deal at the Bengal motors where I purchased the wrangler from. Though [redacted] assured me it was an even better deal and asked for a tip when it was over as I was putting less down on this one. He did not mention that this was a lower model, as I would have balked at the price, the price was reasonable for a limited model not a Laredo which is the model was put in. Further, [redacted] contacted [redacted] Bank which holds the note on the wrangler and said he would be overnighting a check to them for the balance of my note; ###-###-#### is their number to confirm such. To date no check has been sent and when Chrysler Corporate contacted dealer they stated it would take a few weeks this in unacceptable and a lie which goes along with how this whole transaction went down. Further after tipping [redacted] at his behest numerous times to get me this great deal I was called four hours later after into financing telling me that it was going to be $30 more per month after all was signed and shook on still not receiving the vehicle I should have walked however it was high pressure situation my plates had been switched off my wrangler and my insurance was already transferred. It was basically put that I had no choice. I was with my girlfriend who had already been sitting for some time and was in pain so I decided just to sign off. Little did I know this was not the model requested nor did it have the requested amenities? The general manager [redacted] credited me $1200 for the sunroof but that does nothing in terms of the situation I was put in and lied to as well the bank was lied to. This should not have happened and I would like this looked into. And I again request the model I should have received or at the least heated seats and the option to end contract in 2 years, this is ridiculous. A dealer should not have sales people requesting tips and lying to customers directly. I am really shocked by how this all transpired and would never go back to STAR. Further, I was told I would get the money from the lifetime protection plan as my down payment which did not occur and now this dealer does not even know where the check is going, I paid cash for this added protection and it should have been credited to me that day as per rep from Chrysler Motor Vehicle Protection at ###-###-####, who I believe dealer lied to as well as they would have to state the underlying vehicle was paid off or check number to prove so that I could be refunded, since they have not paid off my vehicle there is no way this could have been canceled out but per Mopar protection it had been. So I am at a loss for words, it appears even Chrysler was lied to.Desired Settlement: As the dealer already has my vehicle for sale I want the loan paid off as promised by [redacted] which was to overnight a check to bank of [redacted] as well I am paying more for a lower model vehicle I would request an adjustment on price which was supposed to be $340 a month not $370 again paying more for a lower model I was provided a credit of $1200 by [redacted] who was not present time of deal as such I apprecaite what he did but it does not make the transcation correct, [redacted] did not honor what was requested or stated. Further I want the $50 he requested to make sure the deal occured which I believe now is unethical.

Review: Dealer is holding my refundable deposit for an order car on June **. He refuses to give me back my refundable deposit. He guaranteed me the delivery of the car will take 4 to 6 weeks. I was very skeptical, but he insisted me to order that car because he didn't have it on his stock. Then few days later he emailed me a copy of the order with the estimated delivery left BLANK on same day I called dealer to request the delivery date they told me the same thing 4-6 weeks, few days later when I called [redacted] my self with VIN# and they gave me a delivery of 10 weeks or more (September *) which dealer knew since beginning since they order cars for other costumers on a daily basis (they just wanted to sell me a car) if I would have know it would take this long I would have never order it. I had already told dealer I couldn't wait more than 4-6 weeks for the car because of the nature of my job. I want to go elsewhere to buy the car I need, however I need my refundable deposit.Desired Settlement: Refund back to my credit card. They should have it on file.

Review: I purchased a used/certified Jeep Wrangler/Sahara 2 weeks ago from [redacted], and it came with both a hard top and a soft top. The soft top was missing the windows and the clips to properly install in the vehicle. They knew this was missing and refuse to provide either a new one or the windows and clips. I've called the Jeep corporate office ###-###-#### and filed a complaint (Case#: [redacted]). I was also contacted by [redacted] stating he will take care of my issue, and when I got to the dealership 7/**/13, he refused to provide or pay for bill windows and will contact us with more information - there has yet still to be a phone call. We keep getting the run around and we need this resolved accordingly. They have very deceptive practices and unable to reach anyone with the proper answer.Desired Settlement: Either they provide a new softop for the Jeep with all the windows and clips OR provide the missing windows and clips of the existing softtop Jeep was bought with.
