Star City Asphalt and Paving

Mr F[redacted] is now operating under a new business name. Star city asphalt and he cashed a 1400 ck and failed to provide the service. No response to repeated calls. Police involved June 2015

Review: I paid Seldon French, owner of Interstate Asphalt Paving and Tree Service $175 to seal the driveway and he made a money back guarantee that if it did not look the way I wanted it to that he would come back and fix it and/or refund the money. The original agreement was for $200 to torch the edge of the driveway and patch the side to rebuild the edge with patch and then seal the driveway and that he would allow enough time to let it set up before sealing the second coat after patching. 10 minutes after starting he said that the patch was not holding and I noticed he had not even torched the driveway to heat it up to 350 degrees before laying the patch as according to the instructions, that he would only charge $175 to lay the rest of the patch (he didn't even buy enough patch to perform the whole job from the start) and then reseal the driveway. I asked if I could keep the remainder of the sealer in case I needed to touch it up but the employee he had said Seldon used my materials for another job. The sealer was the cheapest possible sealer one can buy and washed off the driveway within the same day!! I tried to call him and ask for him to at least drop off a better sealer and I would reseal the driveway myself. Seldon said he would and never contacted me again. His employee called me and said that he had not been paid and that he has a history of ripping people off.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund for the price of the job. Resealing of a driveway should last more than a day and I have pictures to prove that it washed off. I gave him every opportunity to make things right and drop off another bucket of sealer so that I could perform the work I paid him for.
