Review: I had some tires installed today and when I got my bill there was a $10 disposal fee for the tires. I called Star City and told them I wanted to keep the tires and [redacted] said they would save for me. I went by to get the tires and they couldn't be found come to find out one of the employees had put them in his car he was taking them home with him. I asked the guy what he was doing and he said oh we just put the tires outside and anyone can have them. How can you charge a disposal fee that is suppose to go towards the recycle fee and they are giving them away and taking them home with them.Desired Settlement: I want my money back and something needs to be done with all the other customers they have charged this fee to and not recycled the tires.

Response:
Our policy is Star City does not charge a disposal fee if a customer request tires that have been removed from their vehicle and returned to them. The employee is wrong to state that the tires are available for anyone to take. An employee or some other individual who takes any property (including old tires) of the dealership or customer without permission is considered stealing. Star City pays thousands of dollars every year for proper tire disposal and has a tractor trailer on site with a lock to prevent people from taken the disposed tires. The employee will be written up and the policy will be reinforced to all employees. Star City apologizes for the error and will refund the customers the disposal fee. Sincerely, [redacted]Vice President of Fixed Operations[redacted]

Response:
I guess I need to go back by the place to get a refund?
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
Regards,
Review: took car out with paper for code of whats wrong, they put car on machine they proceeded to work on car , brought car home first time , problem not fixed car doing same thing and engine light back on called and took the car back, did not receive a call to tell me what it was going to cost or what they were going to fix, was car to pick car up and was told they had put a disturber on the car which was 298.00 dollars they also put ignition wires and tune up, all of this was done without my approval. Picked car up went on and paid got the car and had the same problems as what I took car in for. Had to take the car to another garage [redacted], I was told that the intake needed to be taken off and clean ports. This is what should of been done at the Star City and Battery. The second trip to Star City and Battery code me 430.62 which this work was not needed to fix my problem. I would and think they should refund this none to me...Desired Settlement: I will like the money spent on the second vist to Revdex.com, due to the vehicle not being fixed and I was not given a call for the second visit as to what they were going to do and how much it would code me. I was told by Star City that they would order a knock sensor and try that, I have not heard back from them. This second trip took place 3/15/2016.

Response:
We gave Mr. [redacted] his vehicle back today. Between our shop and Nissan Service shop we were unsuccessful with getting his engine service soon light to stay off. I called him today and told him where we were with his vehicle and he advised me that he would come and pick it up. He was grateful for the time we had devoted to trying to repair his vehicle. We settled on a $400.00 refund and he was fine with that. I apologized for not being able to get vehicle repaired completely and we parted on good terms and he said he would be back. Believe me, the fact that we couldn't get his vehicle repaired completely is very disappointing for me and the business. Sincerely, [redacted]

I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. I am satisfied with everything the business did to try and fix my car, they went above and beyond. I am happy with the outcome and if needed I would let them service my vehicle again.
