I purchased the internet system with them and paid a full year in advance along with their $200+ installation charge The service to get the system hooked up was lacking communication Once it finally was installed (one month later) the internet service was 50% downEvery time I tried using it there was no serviceCalling a phone number that didn't return a call till the next day and trying to figure out why our service was so bad didn't work for our situationWe are at our location sporadically and need the service to work when we are there We had to go back to Centurylink (twice the price but at least it works 100% of the time)Then trying to get a refund was just as trying as getting the serviceFinally received 1/of what we paid for the year's internet (even though we 'had it' one month)Very disappointed in the professionalism of this business and would never recommend to anyone

I have been trying to get a few questions answered from this business for over a month nowI have left phone messages detailing when the best time and day was to call me backI got a couple of return calls, but always when I was not home and always days or weeks laterI have not purchased a plan with this company because I am still playing phone tagIt sounds like it is run by 2, maybe 3, peopleTheir product sounds great, but their service response is not acceptableI think they bit off more than they can chew! I am going to stay with the internet carrier I currently have and make an upgrade with them even if it costs me moreAt least they have someone answer the phone when I call and I can get service immediatelyAs the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for"!

I have received my refund but I disagree with what was said in the email and the fact that Star is not taking accountability for their issues We disconnected very clearly and I have screen shots of the messages stating so I also have screen shots where one of the employees called me a liar on facebook I am the only one that had anything to do with the disconnect and seeking a refund and *** *** was not involved at any time There was a post on a public message board calling my husband and I liars and saying they had been out to fix our connection on a day months after we disconnected They did not come to our home on that day and we had not contacted them in regards to anything other than our refund I want this company to admit their wrong doing and issue us an apology

Lack of customer serviceOnly a recording answers their one and only telephone numberNo other way of communication with themIt may take weeks for them to return your call which means weeks of zero internet! Or they may just show up at your door without an appointment?
When the connectivity is operating it can be a good thingThis is the third time I have lost the Internet within one yearThey need much better communication with their customersAnother example of that is when they do arrive to work on the dish/receiver they never explain to me just what the problem was?
When it's working they are out the door no comments!

The refund has been processed and sent out. [redacted] and [redacted] were contacting us with different information causing delays in disconnect. Refunds generally take 30-60 days.
 
Our company has a satisfaction guarantee. We also don't have contracts this...

customer can be disconnected at any time. We are contacting this customer directly to try to resolve this due to the fact we have no record of this customer trying to contact us for Disconnection.

It sounds like it is run by 2, maybe 3, people. Their product sounds great, but their service response is not acceptable. I think they bit off more than they can chew! I am going to stay with the internet carrier I currently have and make an upgrade with them even if it costs me more. At least they have someone answer the phone when I call and I can get service immediately. As the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for"!
