Inquired about renting storage. Was told first month rent as a deposit. Was never told this was non-refundable. Owner *** is very difficult to deal with. So secretive. Wouldn't tell me where storage was located till I paid. This is a bereavement situation where we are storing goods of aunt who passed in December. No sympathy. Poor communication. No contract. Everything by text. Paid $78.75 on January 27. Two days later advised we had an issue and couldn't move Feb. 1. Was then told rental starts Feb. 1 whether we move in then or not. Asked for a refund and it was then I was told the deposit was non-refundable. Not a reputable business.

Refund Just want my money back. He has no reason to hold it. It was only a matter of a couple days so saying he could of rented to someone else is not valid.
This customer *** spent three weeks deciding to rent or not to tent a storage unit at our facility. We have her a great price on a large size storage unit. She called and text several times over a three week time span. Further trying to get an even lii I wee rental price. Until she finally did her homework realizing we're already less than 1/2 the fee than any competitor in the city of Regina. She was secret and trying to not give proper information which is required to rent. She was extremely resentful having to give information. Once realizing she couldn't push us around and knowing we were her best option. She sent the non refundable first months storage fee on the storage unit of $75 + $3.75 GST. Then a week later after the storage unit signed out to *** VW antes to back out of the committed rental unit. We have 360 plus customers and have never had an issue of this style. We've been in business for many years. ***

Did you get the word document I sent you that had screen shots of our entire conversation? It will detail that I was not being secretive, that I was trying to convey to him that I was renting on behalf of my cousin who lives in the USA. Furthermore, his rent is not half of the price of the city and I did not rent with him because he was such a great deal. I have found comparable rental in the city for $1.25 more than he was going to charge me. NOT ONCE did he tell me the rental was a non-refundable deposit. We did not have a contract so how can he hold me to such? Yes, it took me 3 weeks to decide to rent from him because he was secretive and not a good communicator. He would never give me details such as an exact location unless I paid him a deposit (***). The only way I tried to get a better price was to ask if he had a yearly rental rate. I was not resentful to give information - I wanted to give my cousins details as it would be her storage unit. He had a hard time understanding this. This situation was brought about because we had a death in the family. Not only were we dealing with liquidating a loved ones life long belongings, we had to deal with a insensitive money hungry storage owner.
We were hesitant in renting to this lady. Though gathered it was just our initial view point of her characteristics. So we accepted her non refundable first month storage rental fee. Then from there our hunches became clear. We want no further communication with *** of Regina. To any and all further businesses suggest to avoid her as a customer. She changes the story of her intentions versus her typed intentions to a public forum.
Were are hereby closing out any further communications and dealings with this person.
