I had several (5) issues that ARS was to fixThe first time they came out they were lateThe plumber took several hours and had to leave to go to Home Depot a couple timesWhen he finally finished I was told all issues had been fixedAt the time due to the length of time he was there, I had guests and could not check the workOnce I had the time to check, I found out he did not fix 3/issuesI called back and rescheduledThe technician came out, again super lateI was shocked that he came out with a part for one of the sinks he supposedly fixed (meaning he knew he hadn't fixed it the 1st time)This trip he did fix that sink, he fixed the second one as wellHowever, the third sink (which he actually made worse the 1st time) had to have a part he didn't haveHe took the part from the sink (turning off the water) with him and said he would be back the following weekWell it's been well over weeks and no part, plumber or communication from ARSWhen I called the 1st time I was rudely told by the person on the phone it would take 7-days and to wait for a callThis was new information that should have been communicatedAt over business days I called (on a Friday) and was told "nope not in, nothing we can do" this time extremely rudeI asked the person I spoke with to have the plumber call meShe said she would have him callNo callI called again Monday, very frustrated and asked if the part was in, and was told it was notI was then very, very frustrated and asked for the plumber to return the part (so we could at least have water on the main floor) and was told not only that I couldn't speak to the plumber but that the part had been disposed of! It was apparent every time I called that no one was following this issue other than meThe people on the phone were completely incapable of understanding the frustration that occurs when your issues are not resolved as you were told, or having the water to your sink turned off for plus weeks, coupled with poor communication and zero follow up! In short the office people simply don't care and are obviously ill prepared to interact with the publicI would have given star however the plumber was always pleasant and kindI wasn't even too bothered that he was late both times (I get that things might take longer than expected) or that he had to return a second timeThe third time, coupled with NO water to the sink and the poor experience with the staff answering the phone caused the poor reviewIn short I gave them a lot of leeway before writing this review! I am now forced to go purchase a temporary faucet so that I can have water to the sink while I "wait for ARS to call and schedule an apt." Sadly, from reading the reviews, my experience seems to be quite common

Do not use ARS Rescue Rooter!!!! REPEAT - Do not use ARS Resuce Rooter!!! Through Home Depot, we had ARS prerform a tune-up/inspection of our HVAC system When the technician arrived he informed my wife that he would only inspect either the heating or the cooling, but wouldn't do both I promptly called their office and explained that the advertisement indicated the service was for an inspection on our heating/cooling systems The office supervisor told me that they would send someone out the next day to perform the other half of the inspection/tu(heating) The technician also confirmed with my wife that he would be back the next day to complete the work About an hour later the manager called my wife to inform her that they wouldn't be coming out tomorrow That we had "already gotten a good deal" and that they wouldn't be performing the other half of the inspection/tune-up What?!?!? I promptly called the office and talked with the manager He was rude to my wife and rude with me I simply requested was that the company perform that they had agreed to (which was an inspection and tuof my HVAC systems) I didn't pay for half of an inspection The manager said they wouldn't stay in business long if they had to send technicians up to Braselton (the town where I live) to do inspections/tune-ups of both heating and cooling at the price they initially quoted me I paid $for half of an inspection!!! This company has some very shady business practices We were told that we would receive one level of service by the technician and the office supervisor, only to have the manager cut the promised service level in half When I told the manager that I didn't appreciate the way that we were treated and that Home Depot should be made aware of this, he became even more irate! He also made disparaging remarks about my wife This is a very unprofessional company They don't stand by their word Read the online reviews....I wish I had Stay away!!!!

Had not one, but two appointments and they never showed Called me before my second appointment time ended and said they weren't coming Very u professional Take your business elsewhereGoogle reviews full of u happy customers

I have never been treated by a business the way that I was treated by ARS of AtlantaEach individual will seem courteous and not rudeHowever, each time I spoke with a different person, each time they told me something differentThey claim that they all know their policies and someone would never have told me something different from those policiesHowever, multiple times I was told something and then had it rescinded by another individualI only continued to work with them because we had a home warranty that service was covered underI would never, ever, use this company voluntarilyI will never, ever, recommend them to anyone, ever!

Horrible customer serviceThe ladies that answer the phone always giving you excuses or not helpful at all
The plumbers are unreliable, don't show up on time or simply cancel your appointmentNo sense of respect to peoples time or scheduleHome Depot recommended the services, I will never use them again

Two occasions, two plumbers, nothing fixed. We had a plumbing issue in our downstairs bathroom. We're with Home Shield, so they dispatched a plumber to take a look at a toilet leak. The plumber dispatched was paid the copay, of $75, and took one look at the toilet and said he could NOT do anything due to a hole in the floor behind the toilet. He informed us that once we replace the floor we could call him back out and would not have to pay another copay if it was within 30 days. We had a contractor come out that same week and repair the floor. When we called Home Shield to dispatch the plumber back to our residence to reset the toilet and fix the leak (original reason for his visit) we were berated with questions by ARS as to why he was being called back out and they tried to tell us he came out over a month ago ?!?!? We were treated extremely poorly by customer service. I even asked to speak to a manager, to which I was told no. Someone did finally show up at my residence an hour after his scheduled time of between the hours of 1-6, took one look at the floor and told me he couldn't reset the toilet or fix the leak. He told me that it would cost $700 because a "flange" was bent and he'd have to "work". He'd have to "work"...I told him that this was the second time someone was sent out and told us that nothing could be done and the first guy took the money and ran. I proceeded to tell him to leave because he'd wasted my day and he'd continued to tell me nothing could be done. He told me to call Home Shield. He left my residence and showed back up 10 minutes later telling me he was sorry and that IT WAS COVERD by Home Shield so he'd be back in the morning to fix it. He also expressed frustration because this was being put on him when it should have been the original plumber. Whom, according to ARS customer service, is "off" and the second plumber sent out is "new". The following morning I made a call to get a specific time of arrival and I was told it was NOT COVERED! That I would in fact have to come out of pocket $700! My frustration is in being told it is covered, then it's not covered and we're totally getting a run around and coming out of pocket all this money?

Horrible customer service and lack professionalism!!!!!

Endless appointments that arrived outside the arrival window. Also, the office manager was shouting at me because I wanted to request a specific plumber. I live in Atlanta and other plumbers from ARS had come to my home before and the problem would always require another plumber (Joe) to come and save the day... The Office manager scolded me and told me that I had to accept whichever plumber they decided to send me. Once I needed service and they sent a plumber to my mother's home and he said there was a gas leak and that the driveway would require digging up. I double checked the diagnostic with Joe another one of their plumbers and that was not the problem. Just think how costly that would have been if I rushed and had the driveway dug up. On another occasion I required service and they sent a plumber of their choice and the problem was not corrected. I contacted Joe and once again he had to perform repairs behind the tech they sent out. All of their plumbers are not properly trained

I have been a customer for many years and the service has declined significantly. I would not recommend using this company for any reasons and I am going to retain a new company for my future business.

By all means do not use this company....
Atlanta, Georgia

THANKS TO [redacted] (my home warranty company) I WAS SET UP WITH THIS COMPANY THAT CAN'T SEEM TO KEEP AN APPOINTMENT WINDOW OF FIVE HOURS!! And I even waited an extra 3 hours the first time and an extra two hours the second time. So yes, that's a 7-8 hour window that they couldn't make an appointment scheduled more than a week in advance. And what's worse is they expect you to keep waiting even though they can't even confirm whether or not their "technician" will make it that day. I know the employees have got to know about their reputation as bad reviews are all over the place. I would never ever recommend this company to ANYONE. I would honestly shower at a family member or friend's house and use the bathroom outside before having to even try to waste another second of my time with this company. I really hope they get it together and stop wasting hours and even days of people's time. People have to take time off work or find someone to sit around their house all day. Think about that. Think of when customers schedule an appointment and are not home, they are probably still billed some sort of fee by YOU, ARS. A mediocre and insincere apology and hanging up on people are not the way to make up for your shortcomings. Good luck ARS and I really hope people stop using your terrible service to allow you to waste their time.

I went through Home Depot to get a quote for a new water heater because even if you know exactly what you want, they have to send someone to look at it anyway. They set me up with ARS Rescue Rooter. The first day, after waiting the four hour window, they called to let us know they wouldn't be able to make it. That was fine and we rescheduled it to four days later and they told us they would definitely make it to us that day. After waiting 6 hours, and multiple phone calls that they were waiting on a plumber, they had to cancel it because they didn't have the staff. I was told to pick another day, and that I would be a first call that day. After 11AM, I called to find out what the hold up was. They were waiting on a plumber, but we were a first call. Unfortunately, there were several first calls that morning so they were running behind.

So, I canceled. I can't say I recommend them and they haven't even done any work for me other than waste 14 hours of my life and make me rearrange my work schedule.

Our home warranty company referred us to ARS for a broken Flushmate toilet. The first challenge I had was a misunderstanding of the appointment time. They said appointment times started at 8am and I confirmed the date/time worked for me, but they were not clear that was the start of a 5 hour window when a technician could arrive. When I thought they were late for an 8am appt, I called and they clarified there is always a time window for appointments. Fortunately, I was able to change my schedule last minute to accommodate this.
The technician's diagnosis of our toilet issue was misuse, physical damage or force. I asserted that I knew it was from normal use. The piece that broke is not easy to access in the toilet tank and the technician even said it would be very very hard to break it. I am confident it broke through normal use. Since it was diagnosed as misuse/ force applied to break the part (that is hard to access in a way to do so) and not normal use, the warranty company denied the claim and I still had to pay ARS the $75 deductible for the home warranty. I was given a quote for $230 to replace the part.

After speaking to a neighbor to get a reference to a different plumbing company, they indicated they had personally received complementary replacement cartridges directly from Flushmate due to similar issues. I called Flushmate and explained what happened with the cartridge. They are shipping a complementary cartridge to us and we have directions to replace the part ourselves for free.

The office supervisor told me that they would send someone out the next day to perform the other half of the inspection/tune-up (heating). The technician also confirmed with my wife that he would be back the next day to complete the work.

About an hour later the manager called my wife to inform her that they wouldn't be coming out tomorrow. That we had "already gotten a good deal" and that they wouldn't be performing the other half of the inspection/tune-up. What?!?!?

I was shocked that he came out with a part for one of the sinks he supposedly fixed (meaning he knew he hadn't fixed it the 1st time). This trip he did fix that sink, he fixed the second one as well. However, the third sink (which he actually made worse the 1st time) had to have a part he didn't have. He took the part from the sink (turning off the water) with him and said he would be back the following week. Well it's been well over 2 weeks and no part, plumber or communication from ARS. When I called the 1st time I was rudely told by the person on the phone it would take 7-10 days and to wait for a call. This was new information that should have been communicated. At over 10 business days I called (on a Friday) and was told "nope not in, nothing we can do" this time extremely rude. I asked the person I spoke with to have the plumber call me. She said she would have him call. No call. I called again Monday, very frustrated and asked if the part was in, and was told it was not.
