Star Gas Propane

Review: I first started doing business with Schenck Gas service several years ago. Schenk Gas sold to Pulver Gas, which eventually sold to Suburban Propane. Suburban Propane raised my rates approximately fifty per cent. I called Suburban Gas to ask how to return gas tanks and I was told there would be a $110.00 charge to pick up tanks if there is any gas left in tanks, I explained that when I contracted with Schenck Gas and subsequently Pulver Gas this was never a policy that I was made aware of. After complaining to the Suburban [redacted], I was told that they would waive this fee, but they would not give me any credit for any gas left in tanks. This was all something new to me as I thought that if I paid for the gas I should receive a refund for what was left in tanks. When the tanks were picked up the gas gauge on one of the tanks( I had two one hundred gallon tanks) was reading at fifteen per cent or I believed fifteen gallons, the other tank was on zero. I have received bills for balance owed with no accounting for a product refund. When I asked how much gas was left in tanks I was told none.

There was at no time until I decided to change gas companies that I was ever made aware of these policies and I believe I am owed a refund fof fifteen gallons of gas at the same rate that Suburban charged me.Desired Settlement: I would like final bill to be adjusted for refund of fifteen gallons of propane gas at the same rate that Suburban Propane has charged me. I would also like the late fees that they are now gharging me to be dropped as I am trying to rectify this issue before I pay my final bill.

FYI...Scehnk Gas was bought by Pulver Gas which was bought by Suburban Propane. They are located in [redacted], but since all this has happened fairly recently I am not sure that Suburban Propane's contact information is correct.
