Just used Star today they were right on time, very professional, extremely careful with my belongings, and completed my move VERY quickly and efficiently I have no intention of moving again anytime soon, but would highly recommend them to anyone considering a move

Ed is just a middle man The PayPal payment is actually his commission The cash you paid is the mover's payment He DOES NOT know the movers at all And he HAS NO CONTROL about the movers' behavior, and he has NO IDEA about the movers’ driving record My furniture were damaged significantly and we are still fight about it He is completely not truth-worthy

Review: I hired Star Movers for moving my 2 Bed Room home from [redacted] at the address mentioned in the complaint. The Moving date was July 30th 2013. Ed Sandman of Star Movers agreed to move all the apartment including the live plants at a flat rate of $566.25. I have emails discussing all this. I paid the initial deposit of $195.51 by paypal with 2.9% service fee included on July 19th 2013. I was told to pay the rest $366.25 to his foreman after completion of the move. Star Movers sub contracted the job without informing me. The movers were supposed to begin the work anytime between 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The movers did not show up until 12:15 PM. I kept in touch [redacted] during all day about how slow the work was progressing. He kept promising me the work will be completed even if it takes two trips. During the move, they lost the screws to my queen bed making it useless. They made no attempt to assemble it and showed screws from some other move. The screws were tiny and I could recognize they are not for this bed. They also broke the footbard for my Book Shelf. They basically made both the items unfit for useThe movers completed moving half my home at 10:30 PM and refused to move the rest of the home. They were highly agitated and created a ruckus that go us scared. I paid the rest of the amount $366.25 and about $30 for tips though they clearly did not deserve any of it. They left about 16 of the heavist boxes, a heavy(glass) coffe table and my live plants at my old apartment. On contacting [redacted] again the next day, he would not answer the phone after calling him three times and leaving two voicemails. I had sent him an email explaining the same. He would not respond.Desired Settlement: 1. Buy me a new Queen Bed($300) or send someone with relevant screws to assemble the queen bed. 2. Buy me a new book shelf or pay me the cost of replacing it($80).3. Pay me $300 for the moving of the remaining items.
